The home has stunning rolling hills views with the Blue Ridge Mountains in the background. Come sit on the porch or swing in the hammock, gather with friends and family or just relax and watch the sunrise with a fresh cup of coffee. The country serenity of the home is peaceful, calm and private and yet just minutes from all of the local restaurants and stores that Harrisonburg has to offer. This home is perfect to plan a vacation or visit a loved one at one of the local universities and colleges. James Madison University is only a 5-minute drive to campus. You can also spend the day enjoying many of the local wineries, golf courses, bike trails, caverns or hiking Skyline Drive. We are also located 13 minutes away from Massanutten Resort where you can enjoy the water park, ski the slopes or go tubing! Our home is a perfect alternative to enjoying the wonderful year-round resort amenities from what will feel like the privacy of your own home. The game room is in the building behind the main home and is separate from the main home making it perfect for people that want play games but if people want peace and quiet they can just go and enjoy the main home. There is a pool table, air hocky, poker table and chips or a glass top retro style arcade game with 70 plus games included! We also have an amazing 6 stand up arcade games including 2 virtual speed boat and motorcycle seat games! Road Burners and Hydro Thunder! The other arcade games are Mortal Kombat, Golden Tee and NBA Jam. These 3 stand up games also have additional games installed in the software! All games are set to free play, so no coins are necessary. We also have basketballs and hoop along with a cornhole board and cornhole bags for fun outdoor activities. This home has all the comforts of home from cooking a meal in a fully outfitted kitchen to grilling outside. There are 2 washing machines, and 2 dryers located in the basement for you to utilize. We have super high-speed Wi-Fi at 1200 Mbps so you can work from home or stream your favorite services. We also have central air/ heat pump or if you prefer or open the windows and enjoy the cool country air while unplugging and spending quality time with friends and family. Parking is available for multiple vehicles. There is also a quiet office available for anyone needing a quiet place to work from “home.” We have a fire pit area and free wood to enjoy a nice warm night by the fire. Our sons cut the firewood for guests, and they have a donations box if guest feel like donating to them for their efforts. Guest access Guests are free to access all areas within the main house with the exception of 3 closets, which are used for storage and cleaning supplies, those closets will be locked. The upstairs of the back building are available for guests to use as an entertainment room. Feel free to use the basketball hoop located on the front of the building and we have supplied basketballs, football and soccer balls as well. There is a cornhole board set and bean bags to enjoy. If you need to access the downstairs building in order to store a mountain bike, please let me know and I can have it opened for you. There are 2 hammocks with spectacular valley views to relax in. There are 2 levels to the home. On the first level there is the kitchen with open dining room, living room, and 3 bedrooms. There is a couch and big screen tv in the living room. The first of the 3 bedrooms upstairs is a full bed with a twin trundle pull out bed. The second bedroom upstairs is a queen bed. Also, upstairs is the master bedroom that has a king bed and an attached full private bathroom. There is also another full bathroom upstairs. The downstairs level has the additional 2 bedrooms. The first bedroom has 2 twin bunkbeds so "4" twin beds in that room. The second bedroom has a queen bed. If needed there is a queen air mattress located in the laundry room that can be used throughout the home. There also is also a second living room downstairs with another couch and big screen tv along with the laundry room is also in the downstairs level. Other things to note Our home has tons of furniture and amenities. There are numerous cell phone charging stations throughout the house and bedrooms. We have a heat pump for heat and a/c that can be adjusted by thermostat for the upstairs rooms. The basement stays fairly cool in the summer but for those who would like an additional fan there are extra fans in the laundry room. There are Mitsubishi mini split heat/a/c units in each of the rooms downstairs to make it very comfortable in all seasons that are controlled by remote controls located on each wall. There are ceiling fans in the master bedroom and queen bedrooms upstairs. Feel free to play basketball or corn hole outside and we have left a basketball/football/frisbee/corn hole boards and bags and soccer ball in the outside shed for your use. The separate game room is located in the building behind the home in the upstairs level. All games are set to free play, so no coins are necessary. There is a firepit for everyone to use, we have free firewood in the woodshed however my sons cut and split the wood and do accept donations if guests feel like donating to them for their efforts. There are numerous puzzles and games to pick from in the downstairs area. There is a water hose in the front and back of the house “in the warmer months” for anyone wishing to wash off a mountain bike or hook up a slip n slide in the summer. There is a snow sled for guests to sleigh ride down the front yard if they choose. There is a pack n play for anyone that needs it and a baby gate that can be installed at the top of the stairs, also we have some electric outlet plugs to keep kids from putting fingers where they shouldn’t be. We also have a portable highchair. We have flashlights in the drawers for each bedroom and a flashlight in the kitchen. We also have night lights throughout the house. We have 2 smart tv’s so you can easily stream your own Netflix or Hulu with our 1200 Mbps super-fast internet speed! We have a Keurig Coffee maker and a regular coffee pot. We supply Coffee Pods for the Keurig, cream and sugar. There are dishwasher pods and washing machine pods for your convenience. Upon request we work with a personal chef that will come to the house and cook a meal for guests. If you're interested in hiring a personal chef, please ask me how and I'll send his menu. We allow pets but charge a $50 pet fee per pet. It is the guest's responsibility to inform the host that a pet will be coming.
