Renovated in 2023 Candelshoe Cottage is situated in the heart of the Lincolnshire Wolds an area of outstanding natural beauty. The village of Somersby, birthplace to poet laureate Alfred Lord Tennyson, The Old Rectory where Tennyson was born stands within walking distance, and the medieval Church is opposite, with the surrounding buildings this is a lovely place to stay in a peaceful rural setting. The cottage has a private and secure garden with outdoor furniture. Animals are welcome. The space Candelshoe Cottage is a cosy Self-catering cottage in the heart of the ancient and historic village of Somersby, birthplace and home for the first 28 years of his life to Alfred, Lord Tennyson. A small welcome pack is provided on arrival. Sleeping up to 4 people with one king-size bed and en-suite featuring a walk-in shower, and a further 2 single beds in the second bedroom. The main bathroom consists of a large bath and integrated shower. There is a comfortable sitting room with freeview television and electric fire. A fully equipped large kitchen/dinner with electric oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. The washing-machine is located in the outbuilding where there is also storage for your bikes. There is a large secure garden area for you to enjoy. Dogs are welcome. Guest access Access to all of property. As you arrive into Somersby, the property is accessed from the driveway of Candelshoe House, bearing left before the electric gates. Once parked there is a hand gate through into the garden. Enter through the side door into kitchen/dining area. Other things to note There is ample free off-road parking. There is secured storage for bikes. Minimum of 3 nights.
