This lovingly restored 150-year-old farmhouse at Stemple Creek Ranch in West Marin sits on our working organic cattle ranch and offers 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, comfortably accommodating up to 10 guests. Located just a few miles from the Pacific Ocean and the town of Tomales, this spacious home is perfectly suited for extended families or groups of friends who appreciate open space, coastal access, and the experience of staying on a true working ranch. With four bedrooms and four bathrooms, this farmhouse is designed so your group can be together — without ever feeling on top of each other. Two tri-fold mattresses are also available, allowing the home to comfortably accommodate up to 10 guests. As the evening settles in, gather around the gas firepit on the patio—the perfect spot to relax with a drink, share stories, and watch the sunset over the fields. 🌾 A WORKING ORGANIC CATTLE RANCH IN TOMALES, CA Stemple Creek Ranch is a family-owned and operated organic cattle ranch located in Tomales, California — just a few miles from the Pacific Ocean and less than one mile from Shoreline Highway (Highway 1).Three other vacation rentals are located about 1 mile away on the ranch across the street We raise: • Grass-fed, grass-finished beef • Grass-fed, grass-finished lamb • Pastured pork As part of the ranch setting, during your stay you may notice normal ranch activity: • An employee lives nearby (the homes share a driveway) and can assist if needed • You may see employees, guests, livestock, vehicles, and normal ranch operations Depending on where our cattle are located, we may be able to let you know where you can walk on the ranch — please ASK FIRST, as there are electric fences and livestock. 🥩 ORDER RANCH MEAT FOR YOUR STAY If you would like to order meat directly from Stemple Creek Ranch, please let us know at least 3 days before your visit and we can have it ready for you upon arrival. Guest access Guests have access to the house, a private yard with outdoor seating, and parking. Depending on where our cattle are located, we may also be able to suggest areas where you can enjoy a walk on the ranch — just please ask first. Because this is a working ranch with livestock and electric fences, it isn’t safe to wander around the property without checking in first. Other things to note We do not allow dogs in this house. There is Verizon and AT&T cell service and satellite based wifi. If you want to order meat from us (Stemple Creek Ranch) please let us know in advance of your visit and we can have it there for you when you arrive. (You can see our products available on our website. We keep a limited supply of our most popular items at the ranch.) Please note: No pets, no smoking, no open flames. We have three other vacation rentals about 1 mile away. This is a working ranch and we have an employee that lives close to this house (the two houses share a driveway). Please note that you will likely see our employees and guests on the ranch and will see and hear cars, trucks, and the operations of a working family ranch. If you are looking to host an event or do commercial/professional photography, please contact us first. Renting this house does NOT allow you to have a party or event on site. Maximum occupancy is 10 guests at all times.
