Castaway is a spacious waterfront home located at Triton Cove in Hood Canal and is a perfect base camp to explore surrounding areas. This family friendly house not only has gorgeous views of Hood Canal, but it also has its own private beach with kayaks and a paddle board. It is equipped with convenient features such as air conditioning, propane grill, washer and dryer, luxurious amenities, and ample space to spread out. Relax with the whole family at this serene oasis. The space 10% off when you stay 7 nights or more! 20% off when you stay 28 days! ⭐️No Pets Allowed⭐️ A violation of this rule will result in a $300 fine and you will be asked to leave the property. We have reliable, high-speed fiber optic internet! This 2500+ sq ft house has ample room for 10 guests with comfortable sleeping areas. Castaway has 3 bedrooms plus a den. On the main level, there is a well-stocked kitchen with new appliances, an island bar sink, a beverage cooler, and a coffee/tea bar. There is a formal dining area and an expansive great room with vaulted ceilings and oversized windows to capture the incredible views of the fjord. Step out onto the large deck and get your grill on, relax in the comfy chairs, or enjoy sipping your morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. Make your way down to the second level where there is a laundry room, a main full bathroom, a bedroom with a queen bed, a bedroom with a king bed and an en suite bathroom, and a den (no door) with a twin trundle bed in the adjacent space to the King bedroom. The room with the King size bed has a TV, a dresser, 2 walk in closets, and an en suite bathroom that includes a double vanity and a generous sized shower. The room with the Queen size bed has a TV and a closet. The den has a two twin beds (trundle) with a TV; please note that the den has no door for privacy. Continue to the lower floor where there is a Bunk/Game room. This large room holds 2 sets of custom made Twin XL over Queen bunk beds, a TV, a mini fridge, a microwave, an Air Hockey table, a Star Wars digital pinball machine, along with many other board games, cards, and books. Walk out the door to the lower deck and enjoy the sound of the waves or play a game of cornhole. Make use of the kayaks and paddle board provided (don't forget a life jacket!). Any violation of this policy, and any unapproved guests more than 10 without our knowledge and written permission will result in a cancelled reservation without refund. PARKING: Please park only in front of the house. There is enough parking for 3 cars. Please do not park on neighbors' properties. CHECK-IN / CHECKOUT Castaway is SELF CHECK-IN. Prior to your arrival, detailed directions and your unique key code will be sent to you. Check-in Time is any time after 4:00pm. Please do not arrive early without permission. Our staff uses the entire window between guests to prepare for your stay. Checkout Time is by 11:00am. Please do not stay late without permission as our cleaning crew uses every single minute to clean and sanitize for the next guests. Extra charges will apply for staying past check out time without our knowledge. MINIMUM AGE to rent our house is age 25. The primary renter must be present during the entire duration of the stay. We do not allow third-party bookings. A valid ID may be requested as well. CAPACITY: The house maximum is 10 guests at all times. We do not allow parties, events or gatherings over our headcount at any time. Children count in the headcount. The maximum guest is set not only by available bedding, but also by our insurance limits and the size of our septic system. Any violation of this policy, and any unapproved guests more than 10 without our knowledge and written permission will result in a cancelled reservation without refund. CLEANING: Linens and towels are included in the house; daily maid service is not included. GAS PROPANE GRILL: A gas propane grill is provided for you and we provide the propane tank. Please do not place any charcoal or wood chips in the grill. For your safety, please do not leave the grill unattended during use. OYSTERS/CLAMS: Please do not take oysters or clams; there is an effort to replenish the population. NO SMOKING/VAPING IN THE HOUSE: For the safety and comfort of all guests and for cleanliness purposes, no smoking or vaping is allowed in the house. Please only smoke outside, at least 25 feet from open doors and windows. There is a $500 fine for smoking or vaping indoors and a $500 fee for smoke odor removal. SEPTIC SYSTEM: Our house uses a septic system. Only toilet paper should be flushed to prevent backups. Please dispose of feminine products, makeup wipes, etc., in the trash cans provided. KAYAKS/PADDLEBOARD: For your safety, please wear the life vests provided to you. After each use, please return the kayaks and paddleboard to the rack facing down, to avoid creating dents on the bottom and holding water in the cockpit when it rains. The paddles are stored on the lower back deck. Our shoreline in Hood Canal can experience high tides that can sweep away equipment if they are left on the shore. WILDLIFE ENCOUNTERS: When vacationing in the rural area such as Hood Canal, especially being in close proximity to the Olympic National Park and Olympic National Forest, there is a heightened probability that guests will encounter some type of wildlife, insects, bugs, or stray animals. Our property is professionally treated on a scheduled basis for interior pests, but because of the natural habitation of the forest, no refunds or compensation will be given for any pests inside or outside of the house. Please keep windows and exterior doors closed to prevent insects or bugs from getting into the house. We are not responsible for any wildlife or animal encounters of any kind. SHOOTING GUNS OR FIREWORKS: Shooting guns or fireworks is strictly prohibited on the property and will immediately result in a cancelled reservation with no refund and a fine of $1000. ILLEGAL ACTIVITIES: All guests shall not engage in illegal activities on the property. PROPERTY AMENITIES - INTERNET SERVICES: This property offers WiFi service. No refunds or compensation will be given for television service failure, internet, or power outages that are outside of our control. There is a fee of $100 for tampering with the electronics or equipment in the house. Please do not unhook or disconnect the equipment for any reason. SECURITY: For the security and safety of our guests and property, outside cameras without audio located at the entrance, at the sides of the property, and at the beach (pointing only at the kayaks/paddleboard). Cameras are not being monitored while guests occupy the house but may be accessed for suspected policy violations (pets, # of guests, parties, etc.), or to monitor safety or property protection if needed. CHECKOUT PROCEDURES: Guests will be responsible for the general upkeep of the house during your stay and for leaving the house in good condition at checkout. Items in the house found missing or broken will be charged accordingly. LOST AND FOUND: If you happen to leave something behind, there may be a cost to ship it back to you. If you leave food or beverage items, they will be disposed of after you check out. LIABILITY: This house is privately owned. All activities involve certain inherent risks of injury up to and including death. Any guest who neglects to follow the rules, policies, and suggestions of Castaway cannot hold the owner responsible for their actions, accidents, or neglect.
