The sweet Dimitris Cottage is a brand new holiday home with private pool enjoying a unique location within the charming hamlet of Viggla, nestled on the hills of Mount Pantokrator, and offering sensational views over the sea, the upmarket North-East Coast of Corfu, the Albanian mountains on the background. The space Finished to the highest standard, this delightfully pretty property is perfect for couples or small families looking for a totally special holiday in the peace of Corfu, yet just a short drive away from the famous beach resorts of Kalami, San Stefanos, Kassiopi, Kerasia. The hamlet of Viggla is famous worldwide for its charming timeless atmosphere, and for its upmarket villas attracting every year regular visitors that fell in love with the peace of this little heaven out of the tourist crowds. The stone-built Dimitris Cottage has a rich history and has been totally renovated in 2023 to be turned into a stylish holiday home able to offer a truly superior holiday experience. The cottage is accessed via a small pedestrian lane with steps, typical of old Greek villages, and has its own dedicated garage space (a true rarity!) at the entrance of the hamlet. Inside it is set over 2 floors. The ground floor houses a fully equipped kitchen with adjoining lounge, dining area, bathroom with shower and window. Stairs lead up to the beautiful bedrooms: a master bedroom offering beautiful views over pool as well as the sea, and a twin. For the comfort of the guests, the whole house is air-conditioned and during the renovation particular attention has been given to the style and décor: functionality is perfectly mixed with ambience. Outside, Dimitris Cottage has a beautiful patio with a newly added private plunge pool which also includes a hydrotherapy jet. The views over the sea through the Corfiot tiled roofs, with the boats passing by, is a truly magical experience both day and night. The peace of the village, with the gentle breeze and the sound of the cicadas, will leave amazed even the most demanding guests. A brick-built barbecue and a shaded dining area are provided for delicious charcoal grilled meals while enjoying the sun going down and the lights of Albanian coast villages lighting up. The property is provided with a private parking space for 1 car, and is not suitable for guests with reduced mobility as it only offers pedestrian access. NOTES: Air-conditioning, wi-fi internet, maid service twice a week, change of hand/bath towels twice a week and change of bed linen once a week are included in the rental rates. Other things to note On the 15th of December 2023, the Greek Government introduced a new tax on holiday rentals with the aim to fight the climate emergency. The new “climate resilience tax” bacame effective in 2024 and will be consequently increased from 1st of January 2025 to the foreseen amount of 2 euros per property per night for studios and apartments and 15 euros per property per night for villas and large holiday homes (details are still under review, and official figure for each specific property will be added to the pre arrival info for all our guests). Therefore, for example, a stay of 7 nights in a villa during 2025 summer (non depending on the number of guests staying) will have a total climate resilience tax of euros 105. For all the existing and future reservations, the amount will be payable locally on arrival. Despite being this a sudden decision, which caused a considerable surprise in ourselves, we are therefore obliged to comply with the new regulation informing all our present and future guests of this extra charge.
