Our oldest, yet freshest guesthouse. A traditional stone cottage with its own courtyards and garden, carefully renovated to balance the modern with the old. It is located in an olive grove in the heart of the local Messinian nature. There are no stairs/different levels inside the house, only a few steps outside and others along the property. Access to the residence is via a cobbled path leading to a few stone steps. The space Polas Estate is a unique multi-space combining the calmness of an olive grove with the air of a traditional country house in harmony with the Messinian nature. At the heart of the estate, a central emblematic stone building hosts cultural, artistic, and social events, and is accompanied by a large, elevated, stone-paved terrace overlooking the vast Messinian Gulf, the city of Kalamata, and the mesmerizing sunsets. On the lower level and surrounding the estate, one can find three traditional stone guesthouses with a total maximum capacity of 20 people. The buildings are located in an olive grove in complete harmony with the local nature and are surrounded by green gardens, stone-paved paddocks, cobblestones and courtyards, olive trees, plane trees, cypress trees, palm trees, and colorful flowers. Drawing upon the Maniatic architecture and traditional aesthetic, the stones, wood, metal, vibrant plants, sounds of nature, and the blue of the sky & sea characterize the estate's atmosphere and surroundings. ***Every Monday to Thursday (20:00 - 01:00), a public cocktail bar and open-air cinema operates on the central terrace. ***5' walking distance from the nearest pristine beach and bus stop, 15' by car from the city center and 30' from the international airport of Kalamata. Find your favorite spot and enjoy your book, meal, a glass of wine or simply indulge in the magic of nature and the vast view of the sea. 2) Guests have free access (no entrance fee) to the open-air cinema screenings. Other things to note In August, the central terrace acts as a relaxed cocktail bar open to the public of Kalamata offering a great view of the stars and the city's nightlights in the horizon.
