In cooler weather, relax by the electric fireplace with a cozy blanket, a good book, and a warm cup of tea while taking in the peaceful surroundings. After a day of exploring local trails and coastal towns, unwind in the large jetted bathtub, perfect for soothing tired muscles and ending the day in comfort. The home is designed with convenience and relaxation in mind and includes a fully equipped kitchen, spacious bedrooms, fast Wi-Fi, washer and dryer, and free on-site parking. Step outside onto the deck to take in panoramic views of Upper Island Cove and Conception Bay, or gather around the backyard fire pit on calm evenings while overlooking the town below. Pet-friendly guests are welcome. We provide food bowls, waste bags, and a freshly washed dog bed so your four-legged family member can feel right at home. Travelling with a larger group? Together, both homes can accommodate groups of up to 15 people while still offering the privacy of two separate cottages. Upper Island Cove is an ideal location for exploring Newfoundland’s Avalon Peninsula. St. John’s is about one hour away, while charming coastal towns like Brigus (20 minutes) and Dildo (30 minutes) are a short drive away. With scenic coastal drives, hiking trails, whale watching, and historic communities nearby, there are countless opportunities for memorable Newfoundland adventures. Guest access We want your stay to be as comfortable and convenient as possible, so we have made all spaces, except for the storage closet in the master bedroom and the storage area under the house located at the base of the deck stairs, available for guests to use. You are welcome to make yourself at home and enjoy all the amenities and areas within the property. Relax in the living room, prepare meals in the kitchen, dine in the dining area, and take advantage of the spacious bedrooms and bathrooms. Please be mindful of the designated storage areas that are not accessible to guests. The storage closet in the master bedroom and the storage area under the house are reserved for our private use. We hope that having access to most areas of the property will enhance your stay and provide you with all the comfort and convenience you need during your time with us. Other things to note Please note that firewood is not provided at our location. However, you can easily purchase firewood from local gas stations in Bay Roberts, ensuring you have everything you need for a cozy and enjoyable fire experience. We kindly request that you exercise caution and consider safety guidelines when using the fire pit. It is important to only enjoy a fire when the wind is calm and there are no burn restrictions in place. We prioritize the safety of our guests and the surrounding environment. For your convenience and safety, a hose is connected nearby to the house. This allows for a quick and easy extinguishing of the fire when you are finished for the evening.
