Description

This remodeled apartment is in an ideal location in Shadyside close to CMU, Pitt, Walnut Street and much more! My apartment features a deck, open-concept layout, bedroom with a walk-in closet, central air, and free laundry. One parking spot is available for free if you reserve it in advance. The apartment sleeps 4 people. The bedroom has a king bed. The living room has a sofa couch that very conveniently folds down to transform into a queen-sized bed. The space This recently remodeled apartment is in an ideal location in Shadyside! It is 0.3 miles to UPMC Shadyside Hospital, 0.6 miles to West Penn Hospital in Bloomfield, and 1.2 miles to UPMC Childrens Hospital. As far as great restaurants, shops and bars, it is 0.7 miles to the corner of Walnut and Aiken (just as a general reference point) and 0.4 miles to the corner of Centre and Craig (send me a message for a list of great restaurants within walking distance if you are interested!) As far as groceries, it is 0.6 miles to the Market District Giant Eagle, 1.1 miles to Whole Foods, 1.2 miles to Target and 1.5 miles to Trader Joe's. As far as universities, the Pitt campus is very spread out, but it is 0.9 miles to the Cathedral of Learning and 1.1 miles to the Petersen Events Center. Carnegie Mellon is approximately 0.6 miles away. Acrisure Stadium and PNC Park are both approximately 4.5 miles. PPG Paints Arena is approximately 2.8 miles. My landlord completely gutted the building and remodeled everything 4 years ago. My apartment features a deck, living room that opens up the kitchen, a spacious bedroom with a walk-in closet, central air, and private laundry. The kitchen has custom cabinets, granite counters, a glass-top stove, a dishwasher and sink disposal. The apartment comes with 1 parking spot included for no additional fee. Please note: this is 1 apartment in a 12 unit building. I do not own or rent the other 11 apartments. It is a relatively quiet building. We absolutely cannot disturb my 11 neighbors in the building. Parties are absolutely prohibited. IMPORTANT: Six of the apartments in this building enter from the front (facing Centre) whereas the other six tenants enter from the back (i.e. facing the parking lot / facing away from Centre). My unit is one of the six where you enter from the rear. If you try to enter through the front door, you will be lost and you may disturb neighbors. My apartment is on the second floor. You have to do one flight of stairs to reach it. There is no elevator. The apartment comfortably sleeps 4 people. Plates, bowls, cups, silverware, a frying pan, cookie sheet and coffee maker and toaster can be found in the kitchen. The fridge and freezer are both empty and you are welcome to use both. The spacious deck is great for relaxing and enjoying a coffee or reading! I look forward to hosting you! Let me know how I can assist you! Guest access You can access my entire apartment. Please note this is 1 apartment in a 12 unit building. I do not own or rent the other 11 apartments. If you want to use the parking spot, please follow our parking policy. Other things to note This apartment is on second floor. There is no elevator. You have to do a flight of stairs. As noted above, this apartment has a king bed and a sofa that flips down into a queen bed. Though it is not absolutely necessary, we appreciate a heads up in advance if you would like bedding for the sofa. PARKING POLICY ---- PLEASE note that free parking is AVAILABLE; however it is NOT GUARANTEED UNLESS YOU RESERVE IT! (available does not = guaranteed :) :) My landlord requires that I provide the color, make and model as well as the license plate number for any vehicle in the lot prior to arrival. Otherwise, my landlord reserves the right to tow the vehicle at the owner's expense, and/or issue fines. In order to reserve the parking space, i need this info. Otherwise, I assume you do not want the space (as I have found many guests do not) and i frequently rent the space to someone who lives across the street, so please do not be surprised if you see another vehicle in the spot if you did not reserve it prior to check in. Please note that my neighbors and my landlord are not shy about towing cars that are parking in the wrong spot and/or cars with a tire on the painted line. Please note in advance that this parking spot is relatively tight. It is possible to fit a large SUV or large truck into the spot, but it is then difficult to open the doors to get in and out. The spot definitely works better for smaller vehicles. IF YOU ARE CONCERNED ABOUT THE SIZE OF YOUR VEHICLE, PLEASE ASK ME ABOUT MY NEARBY PROPERTY WITH LARGER PARKING SPOTS!!! I have spoken to my landlord about it, and unfortunately there is nothing we can do regarding the parking lot here. Please note that, as the host, I reserve the right to charge a fee (without any warning, as no warning should be necessary) to any guests that chooses to check in early and/or check out late without my prior written consent. This typically creates major problems for the cleaning staff, and they do not have much flexibility in their schedule (not that any explanation of this should be necessary). Also, please note that parking in the parking spot is considered a form of “checking in early.” We feel as though this should be obvious and should go without saying, but please do not assume that you are entitled to park in the spot before 4pm, as our cleaning lady typically parks in the spot, and she has every right to leave for lunch, etc. and return before 4pm check in time. Fees generally start at 65$ for this, depending upon how much of the cleaning lady’s time has been wasted.
