The space Airy, open-plan great room with beams and gas fireplace is open to the rustic live-edge dining table and kitchen beyond, all with beautiful mountain views across Laurel Ridge. 4 spacious decks offer different vantage points for taking in the stunning views, including a dining area, several lounge areas, and a propane grill for BBQ with a view! Conveniently located on the edge of Black Mountain, just 25-30 minutes east of Asheville, Honeybear Lodge is the perfect escape to enjoy true mountain living and the many attractions of Western North Carolina. Take a scenic drive down the Blue Ridge Parkway, tour the nearby Biltmore Estate, and discover quaint shopping, craft breweries, and fine dining in downtown Black Mountain. Black Mountain enjoys typically mild weather, even in the winter, which provides year-round access to numerous hiking and biking trails throughout the area. The Great Room and spacious dining area looks out over a large deck equipped with a dining area, outdoor seating and a gas grill. 3 other decks feature lounge areas, glider chairs, rockers, and a beautiful top of the line hot tub! Enjoy the ease of family cooking in the fully equipped kitchen with an island, live-edge breakfast bar, and plenty of counter space. Wherever you choose to relax and unwind, there are secluded views from nearly every room in the house! Relaxation is a way of life in the mountains and Honeybear Lodge invites you to just "kick back." Come create your own memories and have the best vacation ever! The spacious primary-on-main was designed with comfort in mind with a king-size four-poster bed, spacious closet, and large private shower in the attached full bath. The primary suite also has direct access to its own private deck, complete with polywood glider chairs and table overlooking the stunning mountain views. Conveniently located next to the Primary Suite is the office, perfect for remote work. The office has a pull-out console murphy bed that is best suited to 1 or 2 children, and is mostly intended for "overflow" sleeping if needed. The home's lower level features 2 more spacious rooms with an oversized Jack-and-Jill bath en suite between them, 2 more large decks (1 with the hot tub), and a large heated/cooled garage that can be used as a game room for corn hole or similar yard games, rain or shine. One downstairs room is set up as a second Primary Suite, with king-size bed and Peloton bike. The other downstairs room is set up as a den or bedroom, at the guest's request. The ultra-comfortable American Leather brand king-sized sleeper sofa features a patented platform system so it is as comfortable for sleeping as it is for sitting! This room can be left made up as a bed upon request. Honeybear Lodge has TVs in the Great Room, Office, and every bedroom. All of the home's TVs include Roku access with popular streaming services (guest subscription required for paid services such as Netflix). Honeybear Lodge is also perfect for those guests with electric vehicles, as the garage is equipped with a JuiceBox electric car charger - just bring your own adapter and hook up, no extra charge! Honeybear Lodge is the perfect spot for a family, girls' or guys' weekend, or even 2 small families who want to stay together (the layout is perfect for one family to sleep upstairs and one family to sleep downstairs). The surrounding natural beauty can be appreciated from any one of Honeybear Lodge's many outdoor entertaining areas or walk out into the woods and explore.
