Unique timber farmhouse near Maastricht

A unique six-person vacation home in a lovely place in the Heuvelland. If you love a historic character with a modern twist, you will soon feel at home here. Perfect for a city trip to Maastricht, Liège or Aachen, but just as easy to walk or bike out of the street and into nature. You always discover something new. Both inside (cuddle wall, puppet show, slide in the attic) and outside (courtyard, covered farm gate, playground and pizza oven). The space The oldest part of our square farmhouse was lovingly converted into a wonderfully playful vacation apartment. Upon arrival, you enter the private courtyard through the large covered farm gate. During hot summers, or when it rains, you can sit outside here in a sheltered spot. In the courtyard, you will also find a dining table and chairs and various seating areas. In the infrared sauna, you can relax. On the ground floor of the house, you will find the hall, toilet, kitchen, living and dining room. The kitchen is equipped with fridge/freezer, induction stove, Nespresso machine, convection oven and plenty of tableware, pots, pans and other kitchen utensils to enjoy Burgundian cuisine. In the living room, there is a nice corner sofa. A large clay stove provides coziness and warmth. In addition, there is floor and wall heating. If you go up the stairs, you will see the openwork with huge glass, which makes the space nice and light. On the first floor is the 1st bathroom with walk-in shower, sink and toilet. A staircase higher up leads to the 2nd living room. A cozy space between the trusses where you can chill in the beanbags. Games can be found in the game cabinet, there are books and magazines to read, and you can play LPs on the record player. From this space, the 3 bedrooms can be reached (all bedrooms can be locked with a door): Bedroom 1 is located above the gate, hidden behind the straw bales. There are two beds of 200x80cm that can be placed separately or fixed on request. Placing a baby crib with mattress is possible. This room has an ensuite bathroom, with bathtub and sink. On the other side of the attic is room 2. Here, too, there are two beds of 200x80cm that can be placed separately or fixed on request. There is also room for a baby crib. A few steps higher, cozy under the ridge, you will find room 3. Here are 2 beds of 80x200cm. The room gives a bit of the "bedstee feeling." In this room, there is a small children's desk, and under the bunk bed, the puppet theater has been created. A large marble track has been made against the wall. This room is greatly appreciated by children, but it can also used by adults. Are you very tall? Then the room might be a little too cozy for you. What is special is that you can go on holiday on your own property at "De Stoerderie": Our house lawn can be reached via the gate a few houses away. You can have a picnic, sunbathe, play soccer, ride a scooter, romp, pick apples, plums or cherries, pick walnuts, BBQ or bake fantastically crispy pizzas in the wood oven. Guest access The vacation home and courtyard are completely at the disposal of our guests. We live in the rear part of the square farm. We share the playground (2500m2) with the guests. If children come to stay, our own children often find it very cozy to play together... But if guests prefer to be on their own, this is of course also taken into account. Other things to note For €12 per person, we will make your bed and towels will be provided. (optional) Bringing your own bed and bath linen is of course also possible. We hope our guests have a fantastic time at "De Stoerderie". But we also want our neighbors to enjoy their living. Our vacation home is therefore not suitable for groups of young people, parties and gatherings where the peace and quiet cannot be respected between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m.
