Tahaa Fare Hau Camp 4 - Camping in nature

Maeva and welcome to Taha'a. The campsite is located in a green tropical valley of 12 hectares immersed in the middle of a multitude of fruit trees, but above all the best vanilla in the world. A hiking trail extending to the top of a mountain ridge will let you enjoy the spectacular views of the island. Here is a place of peace and quiet where the only noise you will hear is the rustling of leaves in the wind and the singing of the local birdlife. The space You will be accommodated in small 3m x 3m huts built from local wood and coconut leaves. Each hut has waterproof blinds in case of rain, and can accommodate up to 4 adults with Wi-Fi access. You can hang your hammock or bring your sleeping bag. For added comfort, mosquito nets are available, with mattresses, sheets and pillows. Shared toilets and showers (ambient temperature only) are also available. You will have access to a shared kitchen equipped in local style if you want to cook, or the choice to come and taste our small dishes prepared by our New Zealand chef available for breakfast and dinner. We also offer scooter and electric bike rentals and to show you around our vanilla fields and finally discover our shop entirely based on local products such as honey and vanilla from Tahaa. Guest access The only access to Taha'a is by boat. You will have the opportunity to choose between many shuttles from Raiatea or you can choose to arrive directly from Tahiti or Bora by the "Apetahi Express". We can then provide transportation from the dock to the camp for a fee. You also have parking if you are coming with a car. Other things to note Being in the middle of nature, you will sometimes encounter wild animals such as chickens, wild boars and insects. Be sure to bring insect repellent.
