Welcome to real Italy. This is a unique home, named locally as Casa Matita (The Pencil House). It has an awesome view awaiting you from the loggia (roofed terrace). Relax, read, drink prosecco or dine while watching amazing sunsets in the peaceful medieval village of Santa Vittoria. At the top of the hill-top village, the house enjoys a 180-degree panorama of the sea and the mountains (both 45 mins). Recently restored, with three double bedrooms, parking 50m and shops/bakery/taverna 200m. The space The house is on five floors with two rooms on each floor. The ground floor has plenty of storage, a big fridge/freezer and a shower room and toilet. The first floor has a sitting room with open fireplace and very comfy sofa bed and a back bedroom with a double bed. The second floor has the main bedroom with fantastic views to the mountains and the main bathroom with toilet, bidet, bath and shower over bath. The third floor has the open plan kitchen and dining room with panoramic views. The final floor is a 'loggia' with open arches on three sides but still under the main roof of the house. This is where you will spend most of your time dining at the table or relaxing in the comfortable reclining chairs. In 2023 we installed a Wi-Fi solution on the second floor of the house and there is good 4G signal from the top part of the house too, we hope the signal strength will cope with your needs. N.B. This is a very old house built when bedrooms were much smaller than today. Each of the bedrooms are small rooms with two of the rooms having the bed pushed against a wall. The main bedroom has just enough space on both sides for the person on the window side to get out and move round the end of the bed to leave the bedroom. You also need to be prepared to get fit from all the stair climbing you will be doing. Guest access All rooms of the house and loggia. Other things to note Santa Vittoria is a very friendly village with local people who will greet you in the street and shop keepers keen to understand what you want even if you don't speak Italian.
