******* PLEASE READ ALL OF THE "PRACTICALITIES" INFORMATION BEFORE BOOKING ******* The space Welcome to "Unity" - a unique converted 18th century sugar warehouse that has been in our family for almost 70 years across 4 generations. It is a time capsule to a different age when Marilyn Monroe, Ian Fleming, Noel Coward and European royalty frequented Jamaica as their tropical escape. Bob Marley was born a few miles inland, he learned to swim off the beach in front of the house and the cast of Monty Python wrote the famous film, "The Life of Brian" in the Unity garden. Their names are in one of the old guest books. The house is filled with beautiful antique Jamaican furniture and surrounded by a large garden. The house has direct access to the sea from the lawn gate. This rental is fully-staffed with an excellent team cooking up delicious traditional Jamaican homemade food. The supermarket food bill is settled at the end of your stay. This is the first time we have opened the house for rental. We sincerely hope that the special people who choose to visit fall in love with this magical place in the same way we have for generations. Step back in time and enjoy an authentic experience of mid-century Jamaica in breathtaking surroundings. It is a totally unique experience and we couldn't be more excited to welcome you. ________________ PRACTICALITIES: - The house has direct access to the beach and warm Caribbean sea from the lawn gate. - The WiFi is the best available and is available throughout the house. It can support streaming and video calls comfortably. - This rental is fully-staffed with an excellent team cooking up delicious traditional Jamaican homemade food. The food bill is settled at the end of your stay. It is not included in the AirBnB price. (we do not take any commission on the food, you will simply pay the price from the supermarket in one lump sum and all receipts will be provided - it's very simple :) ) - The house has an excellent free laundry and ironing service. Turnaround time is 1-2 days depending on volumes. - Three meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) are served each day with english-style afternoon tea in the early evening. - There is comfortable parking for 4 cars (3 minibuses) at the front door. - There will a security guard on site 24hrs a day (12hr day shift; 12hr night shift). In the 70 years we have been visiting Unity, we have never had a security issue but guests are advised to use common sense during their stay.
