Big (2500 sq ft), beautiful wood interior in a red barn on a peaceful, cool 25 acre horse ranch one minute from city limits. The building itself is a converted barn, turned into a duplex that overlooks the farm acreage. Inviting visuals and the peaceful, quiet surrounding nature makes for a calm space away from the city. This property is a functioning farm! You will see dogs, cats, horses and other livestock during your stay! They live here. They're all friendly. :) This is a very unique space with a very open floor plan and all wood interior inside a red metal barn. Guests are welcome to walk around the 25 acre property. A very peaceful rural setting with beautiful views. The two units of the duplex are separated by a wall ensuring privacy to guests who book the lodge. This property is friendly and a great space to have a gathering away from nosy and noisy locals. It's an excellent place to host anything from a party to a reception. Guests are free to walk around the property and take in all the views; even pet the horses! Please note that as this property is a functioning farm, you will be among the animals that have lived here for a very long time. There are barn cats, working dogs, horses and chickens. While the unit you are booking is a distance away from the stables, you might encounter some of the friendly 2-4 legged employees roaming the grounds. :) On the inside: The unit itself is incredibly massive and currently holds a mythically long table made from a single slab of wood. It can seat 9 individuals comfortably. There are games, a smart tv, and internet access prepared for you. There is a pamphlet that lists pertinent information to unit as well as places of interest and dining options (that deliver to our property!). Up a few steps, there is a loft area containing a queen bed, bunk bed with trundle, and a bathroom/laundry room. Behind two sliding doors, there is a king bed, closet area with crib, and an inflatable queen mattress. All beds come with spare bedding accessible to guests. Please note: the sliding doors are not meant to close off the King bedroom, but merely to break line-of-sight. Guests can utilize the parking area on the front of the building. They may chose to park behind any garage or surrounding area. The entrance to the unit is at the back of the building (not the side) with keypad access. If you're needing access to a garage during your stay, simply text the property manager before your arrival and it can be arranged for you! Lucky, the property manager, will be available to offer help throughout your stay and to keep in touch with you by call or text. She is available to you 24/7 for anything you might need or questions you might have. The 25 acre horse farm is in the middle of residential neighborhoods Springfield Missouri is definitely a driving city. There is ample parking on the premises including multiple indoor garage spaces. There is abundant free parking almost everywhere in Springfield Missouri. Feel free to hike around the property, grill outside, use the fire kettle. The unit shares a singular wall with the property manager's apartment. There are seperate entrances and there is a small chance you might run into another tenant during your stay. Don't be shy, we don't bite! We are each happy to assist you with your stay and make it a great experience for you! We want to meet your dogs and other pets and are happy to help answer any questions you might have! As such, if you are using the King Bed in the unit, you may hear the small din of conversation or smell the cooking of dinner. This is because the tenants of this property work at night.
