Perfect for a comfortable stay, quiet and close to nature! Other things to note Hamois, my beautiful town... It is an area that seduces with its beauty, simplicity and all the treasures it contains… A land of castles, mills, barns and large condruzian spense. Traces of the past, there are on every street corner, at every meander that the Bocq apprehends… Its waters spring from the heart of the small village of Scy. In Hamois, following the Bocq throughout its winding course, we discover castles… There are 14 to cross time impetuously perched or delicately shaded. Ry Castle in Mohiville has been the preserve of the de Maillen family since the 16th century. In Scoville, the site of the mill, crossed by an old diverticulum, includes the old mill and the washhouse which still bear traces of the domestic activity of women, who came to wash and beat their laundry at the river. Then comes Achet, with its small castle and its old lime kilns, installed in front of a quarry, which experienced an important activity. Then, the Hamois look. With the hamlet of Hubinne, we discover the oldest part of the village. Hamois is also Buresse… A pretty postcard with its castle and typical Condruzian farms. A few kilometers away, Schaltin interferes… With its village heart mostly built with oat stone, a yellow stone, typical. Via the hamlet of Champion, we arrive in Emptinne...where the communal house is located. In the 18th century, Emptinne was a major stop at the horse post office, thanks to its postal relay, on the main road to Luxembourg. Beyond the National 4 looms Natoye… We discover the hamlet of Skeuvre with its castle known in the world of comics under the name of Château de Champignac… Its architecture served as a source of inspiration to the draftsman Franquin in the famous comic strip Spirou et Fantasio! In short, Hamois, it is a set of riches, whether built, natural, or historical, but it is above all a small paradise… A protected land where it is good to live! Where it is good to stop for a few moments.
