Nestled at the foot of The Black Mountain, a stone’s throw away from Brecon National Park with stunning views all year round. Enjoy breakfast outside on the veranda; enjoy the scenery, walk to the 3 pubs in the village for dinner. Snuggle up in front of the log burner on winter evenings or watch TV snuggled in the double cabin bed. Fully equipped kitchen, hot shower, robes and slippers provided for your stay and a welcome hamper included. Perfect for romantic breaks, peace seekers, escapists The space The laundry room was built in 1909, has been fully refurbished but still has the original fireplace and oak beams. The cottage is located on a medieval motte and Bailey and will appeal to anybody with a love of Welsh history and are located in a low light pollution area so enjoy the stars at night! The interior includes a fully equipped hand built country style kitchen, cabin bed, antique sofa and chairs and a log burning stove. We also supply a welcome basket. There is a dining table and chairs on the veranda with views towards The Black Mountain. The view is breathtaking; enjoy breakfast and dinner on the veranda or an evening drink stargazing. The bathroom is modern with plenty of hot water from the power shower, electric towel rail, fluffy towels, bathrobes and slippers are provided for your comfort. The cabin has an eclectic old style feel but includes all mod cons such as WiFi, Smart TV, DAB radio as well as books and games. There are walks from the property - The village is a stroll away with 3 pubs, butchers, newsagents and general store. This is a perfect location to explore The Brecon Beacons National Park and local attractions include Aberglasney Gardens, Dinefwr Castle, Carreg Cennen Castle, Dolagothi Gold Mines, Llyn Y Fan, Sgwyd Gwladus Waterfalls and Cwm Gwesyn Waterfalls. The museum of Welsh life and Cardiff Castle are just over an hour away. Guest access Private access to the cottage with car park. It is in a private location facing The Black Mountain and not overlooked by any other property. Other things to note We are located on an historical monument where once a castle stood. We offer a warm welcome. We can cater for equestrians as we have stables and paddocks.
