🏡Welcome to the guest house of Saueaugu Farm – we look forward to seeing you all year round! The house has been modernly renovated and the rooms are furnished in a rustic modern style. The accommodation offers nature views of the field and woodland. Our farm is also home to Nordic sled dogs – if you wish, you can get acquainted with them or participate in hikes for an extra fee and in sled rides in the winter season. Possibility to use sauna and barrel sauna upon advance notice (extra charge). More details about the extra options below. The space 🛏 The guest house living quarters are entirely on the second floor: • Living room with open kitchenette, • spacious shower room, • Private bedroom with desk and chair. Sleeping arrangements: • In the bedroom: 140×200 bed and 95×200 bed • In the living room: a fold-out couch, to which we add a 160x200 mattress (please let us know if you'd like to use it with a smaller group) Additional information: • No downstairs guest access • The house is heated by an air source heat pump in the winter, but the furnace can also be heated if desired (winter only) – there is a wood bar and heating tutorial • In the summer, the heat pump provides cooling • There is a separate private sitting area outside • BBQ upon prior notice Guest access You will have full use of the living areas on the second floor of the guest house. We will greet you on arrival. Entering is through a separate exterior door – just walk up the stairs. Keys will be in front of the door when you arrive. The downstairs is not for guest use. Free parking is located on the same property and is shared with the family. 🐕 🐾 Sled dogs – our special family members Our farm is home to 11 nordic sled dogs with which we participate in international transport sports competitions. Guests will have the opportunity to get to know the dogs and go on a hike with them if they wish. 💡 🔈 Important TO know: • While the dogs are quiet most of the time, they may react vocally when someone approaches the dog-keeper. In the mornings, dogs can also make a sound before a meal, barking for a short period of time. During the day, you can hear some playful barks. • If you are very sound sensitive or are looking for complete silence, this experience may bother you. • Dogs are located in a running yard that is restricted and secluded from the guest house. 🤝 Family and privacy We live in the main house on the farm ourselves, which is separate from the guesthouse. • Privacy assured • The car park is in common • We are happy to help if necessary and happy to talk about sled dogs! Other things to note Available for 🧖‍♀️ an additional fee: • Finnish Sauna – €30 time Please inform at least 6h in advance (heating 2h) • Barrel Sauna – €60 time Notify at least 1 day in advance (heating approx. 6h) • Ask for a separate price list for sled rides. • A walking hike with a sled dog with attendant – €25/ dog • One dog can attend two hikers (e.g. adult and child) • We recommend for children from 8 years old (the hike is fast-paced) • Distances: 3 km, 7 km or 10 km as desired • For dogs, we will provide traction harnesses and straps for you • The possibility of a hike depends on our availability and weather NB: Muddy trail conditions or very rainy weather can limit the hike.
