Less than 10 miles from Athens and near Hocking Hills, you can enjoy winery and microbrewery visits, kayaking, train rides and even fishing in your own pond. You can end your day relaxing around the fire pit and enjoying the hot tub. At The Refuge, there are countless ways to create your own adventure! The space Cozy up in the living room with complimentary Wi-fi and Netflix or play family board games. Each bedroom is stylishly and thoughtfully appointed. Wake up refreshed and enjoy our complimentary coffee and tea. The kitchen is fully equipped with all your cooking needs, including a spice rack and baking, cooking and serving ware. Enjoy the waterfront view and great outdoors on the front porch swing or soak up the sun on the spacious back deck. Unwind in the private hot tub or have a family meal on the grill and dine outside. Guest access The property has a privacy gate, which requires an entry code, and a security camera to monitor the driveway of the property. The home has a remote lock and private entry code for the front door as well. You will be notified 48 hours before your check-in with these entry codes, which are only valid for the duration of your stay. Other things to note We welcome you to bring your own mountain bikes and fishing poles! Firewood is included with your stay. Additional firewood and fishing bait can be purchased at the local Marathon gas station, which is only 2 miles from the property. We do not allow swimming in the pond or use of ATVs anywhere on the property.
