Cabin in East Machias

Built in 2023, our cabin is located on a secluded mountain in East Machias, Maine. This small cabin has incredible views of the East Machias River from the front porch. We invite you to stay and enjoy sounds of native birds and watch the eagles soar overhead, the deer frolic through the trees, and wild turkeys that inhabit this wooded area. The cabin is constructed of lumber milled from our property. Our cozy cabin sleeps 4 adults comfortably but can sleep up to 5 total with a futon option. The space This cozy, 450 square foot cabin has a kitchen with electric stove, dishwasher, small refrigerator, microwave, toaster, and coffee maker. The living area has two recliners and is combined with a small kitchen table and two chairs for dining. A small propane stove sits in one corner of this open living area. The 10x10 bedroom has a queen bed. The loft has two twin xl beds and a futon couch, sleeping a total of 3 people maximum. The loft is small and suited for 2 adults or 3 children comfortably. Bathroom includes toilet, sink and 32" shower stall. The front porch overlooks a beautiful mountain view of the East Machias River. Enjoy your morning coffee or evening glass of wine while relaxing in our rocking chairs on the porch. There is a gas grill next to the cabin for outdoor cooking. There is currently one A-frame cabin nearby, approximately 150 feet away. Sleeps 4-5. The fifth bed is a futon that folds out into a twin-size bed. The loft space is very small. Accessible by ladder. The Chickadee Cabin is located on a mountain and is accessed by an uphill gravel road, just off US-1. Please help us protect the environment and conserve water by reusing your towels.
