Ako House is located in front of a 250-year-old Ako Tree and a small fishing port. The interior of this 160-year old house has been completely renovated in a modern style while preserving the charm of a traditional old private house. The house can accommodate up to 15 people. This booking page is for those who would like to reserve a private 3-person tatami room. The property has a large deck and area to enjoy a BBQ and is only 10 minutes on foot to Ohama Beach. The space Ako House is a fully equipped home with 4 bedrooms, 3 toilets a shower-only room, a separate shower / large bath, living room space, kitchen, large table, laundry machine, terrace, grassy garden for BBQs and relaxing, as well as a 250-year-old AKO Tree. Each room is named after a local tree: Cedar (2-person tatami room), Camellia (3 person tatami room), Pine (dormitory style room with 6 beds), Ako Room (4-person room with wood flooring). There are enough Japanese-futons (locally made) for 15 people to sleep in the house but of course it's comfortable spot for a family or group of friends. The 250-year-old Ako Tree has become a small sightseeing spot and the extension of the house is the location of my (Nicholas) English school. So there will sometimes be some friendly visitors who come to visit the tree or take an English lesson. However, your 3-person room has a lock and will be your private space. Guest access You will have a 3-person bedroom inside this guest house. You'll have access to the common spaces such as shared kitchen, bathroom, shower room, toilets, terrace, garden, living, room, 2nd floor space. You won't have access to other bedrooms. During your stay My wife (Hitomi) and I (Nicholas) live nearby so we will come by when you arrive to give you the key and show you around the house.
