Nestled on a stunning Cotswold dairy farm, Owls Nest Barn is a beautiful county escape just outside popular Painswick, perfect for families or groups or friends. Children will adore the happy cows frolicking in the rolling green pastures and adults will love being surrounded by nature. You’ll also be perfectly placed to explore the Cotswolds, Forest of Dean, Stroud and historic Bath. The space Forming part of a charming family farm in the picture-perfect Painswick Valley, this bright, airy and spacious barn is a wonderful place to get away from it all and breath in the fresh country air. With a spacious kitchen, elegant living room, and four large bedrooms, there is plenty of space to gather. The beautiful country kitchen is the perfect space for a hearty breakfast or indulgent dinner while the cosy living room with log burner is ideal for playing a board game around the fire on cooler nights. With one super-king bedroom and three king-size, guests should experience a restful night’s sleep after a busy day exploring. The fourth bedroom also offers flexible sleeping arrangements, either configured as three single beds or as a king and one single. Outside you can enjoy a covered terrace with sociable outside seating, perfect for evening drinks, and a fun ping pong table. The farm is also home to four picturesque coarse fishing lakes, so keen anglers should pack their fishing rods too. Children will love the freedom of the countryside and saying hello to the cows every morning or getting to explore the multitude of family attractions surrounding the area. Ground Floor Guests enter through the covered courtyard and there are steps up from the decking to the door. Kitchen/Diner: Stone floors and beautiful cabinets make for an elegant kitchen where guests can gather for breakfast at the large farmhouse table seating ten. Everything you need for a wonderful stay is provided from oven and hob, large American-style fridge freezer, microwave, toaster, dishwasher and washing machine to cafetiere and Nespresso coffee machine to make that all important morning coffee that you can enjoy while watching the cows outside. Living Room: Spend lovely evenings together in this cosy space with two plump sofas and wood-burning stove, perfect for cooler evenings. and a comfortable armchair provide plenty of seating, whilst in the corner is a wood-burning stove. Reconnect over a fun board game or watch your favourite series or movie together on the smart TV. Bedroom Three: This lovely bedroom boasts high vaulted ceilings and lots of natural light. There is an oak-framed super-king size bed and plenty of clothing storage with wardrobe and chest of drawers. Enjoy views of the lane beyond. En Suite: Adjoining bedroom three is a spacious and well-appointed en suite shower room with rainfall shower, WC, hand basin and de-mist mirror. Bedroom Four: Offering flexible sleeping arrangements, this spacious family room can be configured with three single beds or as a king-size and one single. Featuring high ceilings and a window overlooking the farmyard, this is a calm space to relax after a day of exploring. The bedroom also features a wardrobe and a chest of drawers. En Suite: The large en suite bathroom has a generously sized shower with a wonderful rainfall shower, WC and a de-mist mirror. Cloakroom Handy downstairs toilet with WC and basin. First Floor Bedroom One: With wonderful rural views over the cow fields to the village church and rolling hills beyond, this spacious king-size bedroom is decorated in a calming palette. An upholstered ottoman sits at the foot of the bed and there’s a half-height wardrobe with hanging space and shelves as well as a chest of drawers. Enjoy watching the birds flitting in and out of the hedgerow opposite. En Suite: The en suite to bedroom one boasts a large walk-in shower with rainfall shower head, WC, handbasin and de-mist mirror. Bedroom Two: The second bedroom on the first floor is a charming king-size room with views over the farmyard to the fields beyond. The large window is a lovely spot to watch the wagtails as they swoop and dive from the building opposite. There ais a wardrobe and chest of drawers for clothing storage. Bathroom: This family bathroom features a bath with a shower attachment overhead, WC, hand basin and mirror. Outside A unique covered courtyard with decking and relaxed outdoor furniture and pretty lights provides a fantastic space for guests to spend evenings enjoying a drink or BBQ. Children will love hosting tournaments on the ping pong table. Keen anglers will enjoy the easy access to the scenic Harescombe Fisheries, which form part of the farm and sit at the top of the valley. There is covered parking for 4 cars. Please do not walk around the farm buildings unaccompanied and without someone from the farm team. • It is the policy of this property not to take bookings for groups where the majority of guests are under the age of 25, or single-sex group celebrations, including stag/hen property is ideal for family groups. • Please note that additional guests above the maximum capacity are not permitted. • This property has a strictly no-smoking/no-vaping indoors policy. If you do smoke outside, please extinguish properly and respect future guests by removing cigarette litter. • Owls Nest is one of our pet-free properties and therefore dogs and other pets are not permitted. • In this rural farm environment, it is usual for occasional insects and flies to be present. Keeping the windows and doors closed, particularly during the evening will help. • Please note, if you would like bedroom 4 to be arranged as a twin and a single, please contact us directly 7 days before arrival.
