Spread across two floors, this 240 sqm villa offers three bedrooms, a living room, two bathrooms, two lawn gardens and a vast terrace with large pergola and stunning views. The wooden ceilings and floors and the classy antique furniture give this villa that aristocratic rustic countryside outlook, which make it stand out from all the other villas in the area. This is an inhabited family home and will offer you the warmth and welcome of a Cretan family environment. This is also an eco sensitive property. Being sensitive to environmental issues including the increasing water shortages on the island, the owner of the villa, has consciously made a choice of not having a swimming pool on the premises. The nearest beach, after all, is only 5 minutes drive away. Villa layout There are two bedrooms upstairs and a shared bathroom with a bathtub. One bedroom features 2 single beds and 1 sofa bed with a mountain view balcony. The second bedroom boasts a double bed and a double mattress on the loft, a working/study area with a desk, a chair and a book case. As you open your eyes first thing in the morning, your gaze falls on the blue of ocean, a unique experience that make this room one of the most favourites in the whole complex! Downstairs, the master bedroom awaits with a double bed, an ensuite bathroom with a bathtub, and a patio overlooking the garden. The vast living room is divided into a dinning area and a sitting room at a lower level where there is one of the fireplaces. An internal lawn garden, with a beautiful plumeria tree and flower pots all round give a special touch to the unique design of this villa. The country style kitchen is spacious and fully equipped with nearly all modern appliances, including a washing machine, dishwasher, freezer, fridge freezer, oven, microwave, a juicer, a kettle, a toaster. A brick built stove adds to the Italian rustic design(Scavolini) cupboards and a utility room offers extra storage space in this extraordinary kitchen. Our villa guarantees a stay in full comfort! . Guest access The villa is located on the north west coast of the island, some 35 km away from the airport of Chania, 30km away from Souda bay and 22km away from the city of Chania. If you drive on the motorway you will need to come off at Tavronitis exit and the villa is 2 km away at Polemarchi village. If you use public transport, there are busses to both Tavronitis and Polemarchi, however there is a bit of a walk to get to the villa. Its strategic location will offer guests easy access to the most popular beaches of the western part of the island. You will also find a copy of these, in the information pack available inside the property, upon your arrival. As from 2024 the Greek government has introduced a guest environmental tax. This is collected by the host upon arrival and a receipt of payment is provided. For 2025 bookings for November to March 31st the tax is €10 per day From April 1st to October 31st the tax is €15.00 per day. Furthermore your host will need to receive a copy of your travelling documents(ID or passport) in order to register your stay with the local tax authorities. Please provide these prior or upon your arrival.
