The space Welcome to our newly renovated home in Hout Bay. Our property borders the Table Mountain National Park with direct access to hiking trails, ideal for nature lovers and hikers. The expansive property offers plenty of space for privacy and tranquility, with direct views of the sea and the sunset. There are two master bedrooms of slightly equal size, each with a 180 or 200 cm wide and 220 cm long double bed. All beds have new innerspring mattresses, as well as new high-quality down comforters and bed linen. Both master bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms with a large rain shower and a bath with a view of the garden. Both bedrooms are equipped with modern, quiet, fans and very warm underfloor heating. The common areas of the house are on the other side of the house, so there is always plenty of peace and quiet. The Garden Room is another large bedroom with a 180 cm wide and 200 cm long bed. The large panoramic windows allow a direct view of the rear garden, which is hidden from view and private; when the windows are open, the flowers are fragrant and you can hear the birds. The Study, has two solid built-in, bunk beds, designed for adults, and among friends for added privacy. They are 1 m by 2 m innerspring mattresses. On colder days, the room can also be actively heated with warm air from the fireplace. The Study and the Garden Room share the blue shower room. It has a double shower. All bedrooms have a workstation with monitor and fiber optic 100 Mbit/s internet, perfect for Zoom calls and remote work. The living room offers a direct view of the sea and the sunset. The new wood-burning stove creates a lovely atmosphere and, on clearer evenings, a very pleasant warmth throughout the house. The kitchen meets the highest standards and invites you to cook together. Two fridges, two ovens, a dishwasher and a 5-burner gas hob, as well as high-quality cutlery and crockery make for a great cooking experience. The large terrace is the highlight of the house. It offers space for up to 10 guests and a wonderful view of the sea and the sunset. From the terrace you can access the 2500 square meter garden, directly in the Tabel Mountain National Park, with a small pond and a beautiful river. The house has a power backup system that supplies the entire house with power during load shedding. The property is located in the Tierboskloof Nature Estate. The grounds are extensively fenced and under 24/7 surveillance. There is no safer place to live in Cape Town. A tennis court, squash courts, a large pool and a boules court are waiting to be used on the estate grounds. The beach is only a 5-minute drive away. Alternatively, you can enjoy a pleasant 20-minute walk to the beach, where you will find lovely cafés and restaurants. There are also well-stocked supermarkets just a 5-minute drive away, making it easy to stock up on all your essentials. Other things to note This is a heritage property and operates on a pre-paid electricity meter. The meter is not connected to Wi-Fi, so we are unable to monitor it remotely. You will need to purchase electricity credits at the local gas station based on your usage. We recommend budgeting approximately, R150 / $8.5 / €7.5 per day for electricity during your stay. The house is unavailable every year from mid-December to mid-April.
