The Brambles is a chic and newly decorated, bright, and airy, self-contained room/annexe located in Barnstaple, North Devon. The property is a stylish quiet and peaceful getaway situated in a semi-rural setting with a parking space for your car and is ideally located for everything north Devon has to offer. The nearest beaches and dunes are just a 20-minute drive away with easy access to Exmoor and the North Devon Coast. Ideal for couples, solo travellers and business trips. The space Accessed via its own entrance and comprises of a sleeping area (4’ 6’ double bed) with linen and towels provided, en-suite bathroom and stand-alone washbasin and unit. Wall mounted TV, simple yet functional kitchenette type, facilities (tea, coffee and milk provided) including a pull down table and chairs, microwave, toaster and fridge allow for the essentials to be stored and used whilst visiting. At the side of the property is your own private outdoor area complete with modern rattan style seating and table and the added feature of a portable barbeque, so as the sun goes down keep cosy throws on hand to stay warm. It's wonderful watching the stars come out, equipped with your favourite glass of wine at hand. A short ride, or a few minutes’ drive is the Tarka trail, grab a map and hit the cycle path or just walk. Inspired by Tarka the Otter, The Tarka Trail is an 180 mile, figure eight loop exploring all the diversity and beauty North Devon has to offer. Footpaths and bridleways will take you through unspoiled countryside traversing valleys and woods through Exmoor and Dartmoor national parks. Barnstaple town centre is located a twenty-minute walk away, where you will find excellent restaurants and independent shops or take a trip to Clovelly and witness the cobbled streets and traditional cottages. For seaside resorts, take a look at the towns of Woolacombe, Westward Ho!, Bideford and Ilfracombe or for the ultimate surfer’s paradise, Croyde and Saunton are the places to be! North Devon is probably best known for its award-winning coastline, much of which is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The golden sandy beaches are perfect for rock-pooling, swimming and surfing, in fact, much of the coast is the UK’s top surfing spot. Combine this with dramatic coastlines, rugged moors and verdant valleys that all demand to be explored and you’ll never be short of things to do. Westward Ho!, (Kite Surf) and Appledore are all approximately 10-12 miles away. North Devon Biosphere Reserve is situated in the estuary of the Taw and Torridge Rivers in North Devon. The core area comprises an active dune system with geomorphological and successional processes. Other habitats include a rocky foreshore, mud and sand flats, saltmarshes of various types, lowland farmland, grazing marsh, coastal heath, back-shore marsh as well as woodlands. Lundy Island is in the Bristol Channel off the west coast of Devon. It attracts many visitors, both for its lovely and peaceful surroundings and is the UK’s first marine protected area. Explore an unspoilt island, home to a fascinating array of wildlife amidst dramatic scenery. Stroll through the village and discover a disused lighthouse. Explore Crow point, not many people make it over there, it is out of this world, on a sunny day you could be in the Caribbean. Take a picnic and relax in the idyllic surroundings, for those that want some exercise you can walk around the corner and on to Saunton Sands or go through Braunton burrows and the dunes.
