Palazzo Bozzanca by Wonderful Italy - Blue apartment
Beautiful 55sqm apartment with sea view balcony inside Palazzo Bozzanca, just 50 meters from the bathing platform of Forte Vigliena and 200 from the beach of Cala Rossa, both accessible from the fortified walls of the Levante waterfront of the island of Ortigia. The apartment is located on the second floor without an elevator of Palazzo Bozzanca, a historic building protected by the Sovrintendenza, and the twin of Palazzo Borgia in Piazza Duomo. Palazzo Bozzanca is one of the aristocratic residences in the city of Syracuse and dates back to the late 19th century. Its facade is characterized by numerous striking Art Nouveau decorations that enchant tourists. Palazzo Bozzanca is part of the architectural complex of Via della Maestranza, the central axis of Ortigia, which originally housed the workshops of artisans and merchants. Today this street is framed by numerous aristocratic palaces whose layered and original style takes passersby on a journey into the elegant Ortigia of the past. The entrance opens onto the modern living area with high vaulted ceilings complete with a double sofa bed, dining table and fully equipped open kitchen with induction cooker, dishwasher, kettle, toaster and microwave. The sleeping area consists of a large bedroom with queen-size bed with double balcony. A bathroom with double shower stall completes the layout. Guests will enjoy amenities such as wi-fi connection, washing machine, heat pump heating, and air conditioning. The apartment is also equipped with a water accumulator to avoid any shortfall in supply during the hot season. *We inform our guests that there are some scaffoldings in the proximity of the property which may cause acoustic disruption during daylight hours. For lovers of relaxation and the sea, eastern Sicily and the area surrounding Syracuse offer everything one could wish for. Starting from the ancient Greek city and heading south, the best equipped and most beautiful beaches to explore are Minareto, Fanusa, Arenella and Fontane Bianche, whose name derives from the natural freshwater springs and the particular white colour of the sand. On the island of Ortigia, you will also find equipped solariums (Zefiro and Nettuno) and a small free beach called Cala Rossa. Further south, some 30 km away, we find some beautiful unspoilt and inaccessible beaches, including Calamosche, Vendicari with its Natural Fauna Oasis and the beautiful San Lorenzo. For culture enthusiasts, the Greek theatre of Syracuse and the entire archaeological park with the Ear of Dionysius, a cave carved into the limestone in the shape of a human ear, the Paolo Orsi museum, and the Latomie dei Cappuccini, as well as Ortigia itself with its historical and cultural beauty as well as its landscape, are definitely worth a visit. Not to be overlooked are Noto, the seafront with the tuna fishery of Avola, and finally the seaside village of Marzamemi. In short, Sicily is a land to explore and its natural and cultural beauties are treasures to fill your eyes with. Catania Fontanarossa Airport is less than an hour's drive from the accommodation.
