Just drop your bags at this dream all-season getaway and let the fun and relaxation begin! 2500 foot private family friendly waterfront/beach area (.6 miles away with private parking). Castle In The Clouds is a 4 miles away. Kayaking, boating, skiing, fall foliage, amazing hikes all around. 20 mins to Meredith and Wolfboro. 45 mins to North Conway. 45 mins to Gunstock. 1 hour to Waterville and Cannon Mountain. Private community of homes on the northern shores of Lake Winnipesaukee. The home has 3 cozy bedrooms each with queen beds. The master bedroom has its own bathroom. Vaulted ceiling and skylights bring in a lot of natural light. At the home you will find everything you need to cook wonderful meals in the kitchen as well as a propane bar-b-q, and outdoor picnic area with umbrella, a fire-pit and of course a deck to relax, read a good book and perhaps enjoy some cocktails. There is an additional 2nd floor queen bed in the loft, as well as a trundle bed (2 twins, one up and one that sits closer to the floor) in 1st floor *unheated* enclosed porch, which also serves as the main entrance and mud room for the home. The unheated porch can be more private as it has a door separating it from the main home/family room. Both the loft and porch areas have a comfortable desk and are great office spaces when needed with high speed internet. Clothes washer and dryer are in the basement. The loft and porch offers great flexibility for different sleeping arrangements or whatever you like (game night, office, reading a book, etc.). Although we generally only book for up to 6 guests, ask if you need 2 more and we may be able to accommodate up to 8 in warm weather. The porch is unheated so not for sleeping in the winter months. While we do not have air conditioning, each room has a window fan and there is a ceiling fan in the main living space above the family room. Note that our home is not setup to accommodate infants safely. Guests may not use the inside wood stove or our kayaks for liability and safety concerns. But please bring your own boat, kayaks, jet skies, etc! We love animals, however, there are absolutely no pets allowed. Reminder so no confusion: 3 private bedrooms, plus a loft and an unheated porch are the sleeping areas. A total of 4 queen beds and 2 singles from a trundle bed. In cold weather, you will not be wanting to use the un-heated porch area with the 2 singles. So take that all into account when planning your sleeping arrangements. During the summer months, you will receive a special parking permit for our community members-only beach that I have to pay and register for. **Please be aware** our home association does not allow access to our beach for renters on Saturdays during the summer. All other days and months are fine! Feel free to contact me if any concerns. States Landing has a public dock, boat launch with parking for trailers, and a small beach/swimming area right around the corner you can use anytime with an inexpensive town beach pass. Although our member beach is only .6 miles away, there are a few “big” hills to get there. While it is a wonderful walk, if you are carrying beach supplies we recommend a car. Most folks in the community drive - it’s just a lot easier. There are bathrooms at the beach (currently port-a potties while they prepare to build a new permanent bathroom facility). Our community beach has a boat launch that you can use. Note there is no parking there The master bedroom walk-in closet, garage and the basement (except for the washer and dryer), are private and not for guests. I am available to assist before and during your stay. Most likely I will not be in the area during your stay, but will always do my best to help and happy to provide advice for things to do in the area as there is SO much. Please note that outside the ours of 8am to 10pm EST I am usually not checking my messages. So many hiking trails, Fall fairs and foliage to enjoy. In addition the wonderful family friendly beach with picnics tables, charcoal grills, playground, and volley ball. There are tennis courts and basketball net available at the community center along with another playground. The community offers privacy to walk, jog and ride your bicycle (there are plenty of hills, so you know). There is amazing hiking in the area with gorgeous views, including the “Castle In the Clouds” scenic area and tours, Red Hill and Bald Knob. Meredith, Wolfeboro, Ossipee, and Tamworth are each only 20 minutes away, and Center Harbor is only 15 minutes. North Conway is only 45 minutes away with unreal outlet shopping as well as a ton of fun activities and food. Each of these locations are distinct with their own unique vibe, shopping, antiques and restaurants. Gunstock Mountain (in Gilford NH, 40 minutes away) is a great summer destination with an outdoor adventure park and zip lines, not to mention the amazing skiing. The Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion is also in Gilford for wonderful outdoor concerts with many top performers. We are surrounded by mountains, and New Hampshire is a world-renowned fall foliage destination. The fall foliage season in New Hampshire typically runs from mid-September well into October. Other amazing ski mountains are close by - Waterville Valley and Cannon (~60 mins). Easy parking with a long driveway. Requires climbing stairs to the deck to enter the home, or a small grassy hill, and then 2 steps up to the deck. The garage is not for guests and used for storage. Please be aware there is a shooting range that although not close to the house, echos through the community. It is not super loud and it really does not bother us at all. No concerns from previous guests as well. But you will definitely hear it. Please consider that ahead of time before you decide to rent as this is not something we can control.
