Looking for an authentic and tranquil experience? My home is your ideal choice. Nestled in the center of historic Carcavelos, it has traditional Saloia house features, it is close to transport, the beach, shops, markets and services. Rehabilitated in 2023 by my mother, an architect, for your family vacations, romantic getaway, adventure with friends, or as a remote workspace for digital nomads, my house offers everything you require for an unforgettable stay. The space Welcome to your home, away from home! I put a lot of care into preparing my home for your stay and welcoming you when I'm not staying there myself. Here's what you can expect: - Courtyard: adorned with traditional Portuguese cobblestone, disposes a hammock, a barbecue (charcoal not guaranteed) and a medlar tree that bears fruit at the end of summer. - Living Room: decorated with cherish items like a leather sofa bed, an armchair and a Moroccan rug from Fes. On the shelf, discover a collection of board games (Cards Against Humanity, Trivial Pursuit and Jenga), a television, a Bluetooth speaker, a small heater, books and guides. A tower fan/heater is also available. The sofa bed when unfolded measures 160x200cm in size. - Dining Room: next to the living room, has a purely decorative fireplace with no operational functionality. - Kitchen: completely equipped and open to the dining room. - Bathroom: modern, fully equipped, that shares its space with the toilet facilities. - Staircase: considered the crown jewel, this unique iron staircase is a marvel of design, requiring agility and perhaps a touch of acrobatics. It's important to note that it may be a CHALLENGE for people with limited mobility, children, the elderly and for carrying suitcases. This stairs have replaced the previously installed ladder, offering better functionality and aesthetics. - Bedroom: located on the first floor with stair access, is furnished with a 160x200cm bed (Emma Hybrid mattress purchased in September 2022), illuminated by two Velux windows (with blackout blinds) and possesses multiple cupboards built into the wall. Inside you'll find a heater, 2 fans and a dehumidifier. Please note that the roof of this room is slanted, so we advise you to be mindful of the height of your head. The bedroom has a tiled floor and the rest of the floors are covered in microcement, a water-sensitive material that requires specific care, as do all the wooden finishes in the house. Reminder: parties are not allowed. My house is connected to my smartphone through an app, which notifies me in case of excessive noise. Guest access Access to the entire house. Other things to note Reminder: - The fireplace is decorative only. - There is no air conditioning, as installation is not permitted due to regulations that restrict changes to both the interior and exterior of the building.
