Our beautiful Welcome valley getaway is only 30 minutes from Bellingham, 45 minutes to the Mt. Baker ski area, 20 min to Silver Lake, and 3 minutes to the Nooksack river. Our charming retreat offers the perfect place to cook, hang out, and relax with friends after a day of play, and wake up with great coffee to do it all again. We look forward to hosting you! The NorthFork Nest is an 800 sq. foot home away from home with a cozy bedroom complete with queen size bed and a closet. The second bed is a high-quality organic queen size pull out futon in the living room that's super comfortable. This lovely space is best suited for children over the age of 5 as we have manual electric wall heaters in the living room, dining room, bedroom and entry way with knobs accessible to kids, as well as friendly free range chickens that might want to say hi! The cozy kitchen is fully equipped so you can easily prepare meals and snacks, and the dining room table seats 4. We provide coffee, sugar, avocado oil, salt and pepper. The guest house is easily accessible, right off Mt. Baker Hwy, and very close to a market with the basics and two great local restaurants. Enjoy a warm bath in the vintage claw foot tub after a day of adventuring, and relax with the TV, a book, or a puzzle. If you happen to be on the land during sunset, you can often see glorious colors in our little valley. Please message us directly about the option of picking apples for personal consumption during your stay when its harvest time. We offer high speed wifi and Netflix access so you can work remotely or set up streaming through your personal accounts on our smart TV. There is a propane BBQ and outdoor table and chairs so you can enjoy eating outside if you like. Please message with any questions, we want to make your stay as enjoyable as possible! Guests have use of the guest house and two outdoor parking spaces on either side of the building, street parking is also available. Please do not use the fire pits, but feel free to walk around the land or play in the big field that's perfect for a frisbee toss. The main house and garage are private spaces as the owners live on the land as well. Please do not harvest any food being grown on the land unless previously discussed. Messaging through the Air Bnb app is the best way to communicate. We will be tending to the land as needed during your stay so we might see each other, and are open to a hello, but will do our best to honor your privacy when you are staying at The NorthFork Nest.
