Well-situated for exploration of the Northumberland region and beyond The space This two bedroom, single- level cottage, in a stunning countryside setting makes the perfect base for exploring the local area, or relaxing with a book by the fire. If you fancy a quiet walk or the use of a picnic table in a beautiful setting, access is provided to Allensford Country Park from the back gate of the cottage. Within walking distance of the cottage, you will find our cafe, serving homecooked food and delicious desserts. Venture a little further to find the beautiful Derwent Reservoir, or Beamish Museum and local historic towns such as Hexham, Corbridge or Durham. If you fancy a picturesque drive towards the coast, you will soon find yourself at the stunning sandy beaches of Whitley Bay and Tynemouth. If you are looking to spend some time in hustle and bustle of a city, Newcastle upon Tyne is just a short drive away. Visit this vibrant metropolis and you will find an incredible range of shops, restaurants and entertainment with something for everyone. Enter the cottage through the rear door, the main lounge to your right with a two seater sofa and two arm chairs. You will have everything you need to feel right at home, including a lovely effect fire. Also a four-seater table looking through the hatch to the kitchen including electric oven and hob, fridge freezer. The master bedroom comes complete with a double bed and ample storage . The second bedroom is also a double bed. Bathroom has walk in shower. A beautiful enclosed garden with a patio area, with outdoor seating and another area with a table and chairs. Additionally there is off-road parking for two cars. Other things to note Our holiday cottage is located on a holiday park with static caravans on one side and a seasonal touring caravan site near the front of the cottage. We are located at Allensford Park there is a children's playpark, the River Derwent, Wharnley Burn Waterfall, the Heritage Trail plus lots of dog walks. There are no shops in walking distance but a short 5 minute drive away. Cafe next door serving food from 9.30am. We do not have a charging point for an electric car or allow at the cottage due to our card payment meter.
