Description

A peaceful secluded lodge nestled in Hartland Forest with exclusive access to two lakes on-site, which offer superb fishing. Close to the North Devon coast with miles of coastal paths, dramatic coastlines with large natural waterfalls and quaint villages and hamlets. The perfect base for couples and families to explore Devon or Cornwall with Bude and Westward Ho! both just within 20 minutes drive. Please note the nearest village with convenient store, chip shop and public house is 3 miles away. The space A large spacious open plan living area with dining table and archway to fully equipped kitchen. Main bathroom with bathtub (PLEASE NOTE: the hot water pressure runs slowly, so running a bath may take some time, the water tank is also not large so you will only be able to run a small bath not a full one). Large king sized bedroom with ensuite and shower and a good sized twin bedroom. All with countryside views. A large secluded private balcony with countryside views, not over looked. Guest access Access to the lodge is via a long sloping path which may not be suitable for people with limited mobility. If arriving in the hours of darkness, there are no lights on the site (we have no control over this) The lodge has a spot light once outside, but please bring torches. The lodge has a small garden area that wraps around the lodge perimeter. Dogs must remain on leads when around the park, but around the lodge can be kept under close control within the lodges perimeter. Other things to note The local area caters for families, with so many activities available for children and teenagers, refer to the section to see exactly what's around. DEVON LANES - Please be aware that once you turn off the A39 you are entering rural Devon, this means small narrow lanes with passing places. Please be respectful to other road users, give way to other vehicles and tractors where possible. If arriving in the hours of darkness there are no lights on site, the pathways are not lit, and the lodge sensor light only illuminates once close, so please bring torches and wear adequate footwear as the path to the lodge does incline down, particularly at the bottom. A further reminder that this is a secluded remote lodge in the forest. The lodge is connected to mains water however, the water pressure is low, particularly the hot water. The water tank is only small so running a deep bath isn't possible, only shallow baths for small children.
