"Marino" studio apartment in the historic center
"Marino" studio apartment in the historic center
Monolocale Marino in centro storico
Description
The apartment is located in the heart of the historic center, between the Jewish ghetto and Cavana, a stone's throw from Piazza Unità. The building that houses it - Il Metro cubo - is part of the city's historical itinerary. It is in fact known to have been, between the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, a house of tolerance in all respects. In a 1921 letter to Svevo, James Joyce mentions "the brothels of public insecurity" that are located in front of the windows of his apartment at Via Diaz 2, including the Metro Cubo. Other things to note ❣️: Dear guest, here are a couple of tips to help you make the most of your stay in the Marino studio: ❣️: You can control the heating using the thermostat located in the entrance area, next to the coat rack. It is not necessary to unplug the radiator or turn off its switch. ❣️: To be more environmentally conscious and reduce waste, the flat is equipped with a low-consumption water heater that enables responsible water use. The hot water boiler provided has a limited capacity of approximately 30 litres (around 6 minutes of hot water). Remember that after a shower of around 6 minutes, you will need to wait at least 30 minutes for the boiler to prepare more hot water. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you need anything. Thank you. ❣️: I just wanted to let you know that the tap water in our town is drinkable; however, to minimise wear and tear on the coffee machine, I would kindly ask you to use bottled water. We also recommend that you always keep the bathroom door ajar rather than closed to prevent unpleasant odours from developing, as the bathroom is small and windowless.☺️ Registration details IT032006C2QH2X9YSL
