Cozy cabin in the woods with beautiful mountain views from covered back deck! Perfect for nature lovers, couples, singles. Ideal for a peaceful escape or visiting local wine/brew trail. While remote, also a convenient base to visit area attractions, hikes & easy drive to C'ville. Relax on the covered back deck watching the sunset and wildlife. Over 2 miles of wooded trails on property for guest use. 15-20 min walk through woods trails (part of this walk is on a hill) to access Rockfish River. The space SENTOSA CABIN Cozy, peaceful cabin in the woods with 378 square feet inside and a spacious, covered back deck and yard to enjoy the tranquility and serene mountain views. Enjoy the peacefulness of the woods, while watching for local wildlife, birds, woodpeckers, deer and sometimes a bear. Guests have access to over 2 miles of wooded nature trails. **Booking is set for 1 day's notice. If you are trying to book the same day, please message us to see if the property is ready and we may be able to accommodate you. Ceiling fan in cozy, efficient bedroom (queen bed), closet to store your luggage, stacked washer and dryer. Full size appliances in kitchen but NO dishwasher. Pots, pans, dishes, glassware, silverware, dish soap and all basic kitchen supplies included. Basic cleaning supplies and laundry detergent supplied. Sheets, bath towels, bath mat, kitchen towels and oven mitts provided. Electric heat and air conditioning. Wireless and USB chargers next to bed. Keypad front door entry for self check in. Roku TV in bedroom, Fire TV in living room, Bring your own passwords for your accounts. Fast fiber Wifi - 100 mbps Over 2 miles of wooded hiking, nature trails on property available for guest use. Rock hounds will love the variety of quartz they can find on some of the trails! 15-20 minute walk through the wooded trails (with hills) to the Rockfish River where guests can walk to fish, swim, go tubing or just take in the scenery. 30 minute drive to entrance of Blue Ridge Parkway and Shenandoah National Park. Starter pack of these supplies included - Keurig coffee pods, tea bags, sugar, creamer, salt/pepper, cooking spray, olive oil, bottled water, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, toilet paper, paper towels. Just bring your clothes and food! Propane fire pit on deck with seating to enjoy mountain and nature views. GRILL - CHARCOAL - (bring your own charcoal, lighter fluid,etc); utensils are provided WELL WATER - The cabin uses well water that is approved as safe for drinking and usage. The water has been tested and approved through the county health department. Well water, especially in mountainous areas will taste more minerally than "city water." If you do not like the taste of well water, few starter bottled waters are provided for you. A water filtration and softener system is installed. ***Please note that there is one video security camera located on front of house that shows parking area. This is for security and remote check-in/out only and will not affect your privacy whatsoever. No alarms set, no audio while guests are in residence. Also, NO indoor cameras.*** Cabin is located on the same 90 acre wooded property as the owner's so we are usually available if needed but not within sight so guests still have their privacy. Guests will normally have the woods trails and river to themselves and will likely not see a soul while visiting. Thank you for considering our property. Parking on gravel driveway. 15 minutes to Scottsville or Lovingston and about 30 minutes to Charlottesville. 30 minutes to Blue Ridge Parkway and Shenandoah National Park. Other things to note 1 night min Sun-Thurs. 2 night minimum Fri-Sat and some holidays Booking is set at 1 day notice but can sometimes accommodate a same day booking. Please inquire. Check in 3pm, check out 11am Property is located off of a secondary road in Nelson County, about 15 minutes away from a major road (Route 29). The cabin has a short gravel parking area and located off of a paved lane/driveway on a steep hill. If snow/ice is expected during your stay, a 4WD is advised. Internet/Electricity and Inclement weather: We are in a rural area and have no control over such things as outages for electricity, internet, wifi, etc. Sometimes, internet will go in and out because of summer thunderstorms. Usually, it is restored fairly soon after the storm passes but not always. No refund will be given since these are very rare occurrences and completely out of our control. If it is a long term event lasting days, the stay can be rescheduled. Departures due to inclement weather do not warrant refund of rent or deposit. We highly suggest Vacation Travel Insurance to account for situations such as this. **Wildlife and Insects Disclaimer – This cabin is located in the woods with wildlife native to this area. Please be aware that there may be deer, raccoons, fox, squirrels, bears, raccoons, opossums, snakes, as well as other wildlife. The two snakes that are poisonous in this region are the Timber Rattler and the Copperhead. Please be aware of this when walking on the property and in the vicinity. Please close the lid firmly on outside trash can so as to not attract bears or other animals.
