Take a break and unwind at this peaceful cabin. Located on the quiet part of Sand Lake (Rideau system) Property has two bedrooms in the main cabin and a Bunkie for summer use for an additional cost. Beautiful views, with great fishing, swimming and hiking. Jump in a kayak and explore the lake. No wifi. Talk to each other! Play games! Reconnect! Leashed pets only! Outhouse for use on property. The space - Main bedroom has a double bed. - Second bedroom has a double bottom bunk and single top bunk. - **Bunkie (Third bedroom) has a double bottom bunk and a single top bunk for an additional fee or with 6 guests (seasonal only) - Pets are not permitted on the furniture and they must be leashed at all times off of the deck. - outhouse on the property equipped with electricity as secondary toilet. Guest access - Main cottage. - **Bunkie available upon request as well for an additional fee. (Seasonal) or with the 6th guest fee. - Please do not trespass on neighbours properties. - the road is private property and pets must be leashed in order to walk it. Other things to note -more than 5 guests, the bunkie will need to be rented with the 6th guest fee. -use G oogle maps, not just maps to find address quickly. -2 car parking maximum beside the shed and side of road tucked off of the roadway completely. (See photos) -natural terrain and steps leading down to the cottage. Not ideal for persons with disabilities and very small children. Children need to be supervised on stairs -kayak out to jumping rocks (3 solid kayaks) -review photos in the listing by clicking them and reading their descriptions for a thorough look into our place. -We have many native plant species on our property and would love for you to see them. We have a plant scavenger hunt binder for your browsing pleasure :) please respect this important ecosystem. Do not throw cigarette butts or other garbage on the ground. -composting toilet is delicate and cannot handle constant urine and flushing. No use in the winter months. -outhouse is available with electricity for use all year round and is located just steps off of the deck. This should be used as much as possible as the composting toilet cannot handle lots of urine. -cover all patio furniture when not in use to protect it from falling tree sap and weather. - no pets on the furniture and pets must be leashed at all times once off of the deck - the road is private property and it does not belong to us! Please stay off of neighbouring properties. Please do not tresspass on neighbouring properties. It is illegal to do this. -insects and wildlife are expected. - garbage must go home with you. If you prefer, the Portland dump is open on Wednesdays and Saturdays. About a 20min drive. Garbage has a flat rate of $10. It is a good idea to remove packaging at home and use reusable containers to limit your garbage as much as possible, especially in the winter months. -bring reusable cups/containers in the winter months, as dishes are challenging without running water and no water can go down the drains. Pre planning is strongly encouraged. -please do not dump hot fire ash onto the ground. Leave it in the fire pit. -red canoe is not usable - back right burner on cooktop is the vent for the oven. Do not cover while in use. - please use baking sheets in the oven to avoid splatter in the oven
