With an inspiring View

A peaceful setting and spectacular view. This is an awesome place for bicycling!!! Mostly serious cyclists. There is a lovely hiking place at McDowel Creek Falls park only 13 minutes away. We are respectful hosts and try to give you your space. You’re welcome to cook, naturally if you clean up after yourself. We have Amazon Prime movies and if you want to watch a movie, just ask. The room is a master bedroom with bathroom. It’s cozy and everyone loves the bed. We have 10 acres to enjoy. The space Master bedroom with Bathroom. There are 10 acres and we sit up on top of Marks Ridge. McDowell Creek Falls is 10 minutes on the backside of the ridge. Walking is lovely and can be a good workout here. You get the best parking right at the front steps to the deck and front door. Guest access We allow cooking if you clean up after yourself. It’s a wonderful kitchen to work in, it’s big. You’re welcome to enjoy the view from the covered deck. You’re welcome to use the dining table for a workspace. You’re welcome to watch a movie in the living room. A huge TV. Just ask! You can see the view from the living room. There’s a griddle and pressure cooker. Guests are welcome to use the fridge. Just put your food wherever you can. We have well water that is delicious. If you want to use the tent we have, you’re welcome to it. We’re hospitable and want to please. During your stay One of us is usually home and we will help you with whatever you need to learn to make your stay enjoyable. Other things to note You may see our deer drinking from our spring water pond and you’ll mostly likely to see wild turkeys. If you want to hike somewhere on the property and have a picnic, we have a sleeping bag or blanket to use for your use and a reusable sack to carry your stuff in. Not shown in the pictures is a view of the river and clustered lakes. You can even see Foster Lake. It’s a lovely drive and there is a huge park on the lake. We’re 99 miles to Bend. 2 hours or less from Portland. 40 miles to Eugene and University of Oregon or Oregon State University. An hour away is Silver Creek Falls which is my favorite hike. The largest waterfall is easily accessible and you walk under 9 or 10 waterfalls. There is a Thai Restaurant on the way back. McDowell Creek Falls park is 12 minutes away. It’s beautiful. There are path’s everywhere. The best places are accessible at the end of trails and you can walk down the creek. There is a beautiful swimming hole that has 2 waterfalls pouring into it. It’s cold, but who wouldn’t want to say you dove in the most beautiful swimming hole. Or… say you did and just hang out there for the peace.
