Description
Walk to Kenyon! Take the sidewalk in front of the house directly to Middle Path. Stay in the oldest home in Gambier. Built in 1828, by one of the architects of Kenyon during construction of the campus. Extensively remodeled with a modern kitchen, flooring and bathrooms, with hints of the handhewn beams that support the house. The space The house has just finished a year of renovation from roof to basement. The first floor consists of a completely remodeled kitchen and full bath, a laundry room, a main room (the original 1828 house), a front room with a extra long couch and a bedroom with a full bed. Upstairs are two additional bedrooms, one with a king and one with two twin beds. There is an additional futon type mattress available in that room. There is a remodeled half bath upstairs as well. The entire house has been painted inside and out, with new flooring throughout. We have a large backyard shaded by 100 year old sugar maple trees and a firepit and grill for entertaining. It is an easy level walk on the sidewalk in front of our house to the Village of Gambier and Middle Path. Guest access Guests have access to the entire house, driveway with pullout and entire backyard. Other things to note The house is located in a residential area just off campus, so we request guests to respect our neighbors and keep the noise down after 10 pm.
