The uninterrupted water views from the home toward Hog Island are stunning, with no other buildings or structures to spoil the view. The large backyard leads to a private rock/sand beach. Four Adirondack chairs welcome you at the waterfront, with a nearby Solo Canyon fire pit and seating for 10 in Big Easy chairs. The home features 4 bedrooms and 2.5 baths and comfortably sleeps 10 guests. The living room includes a large wood stove that keeps the home warm even on the coldest days, reclining furniture, and an 85” smart TV. Mini-split heat/AC units are located in the dining room, living room, and 3 of the 4 bedrooms. The house also has a large turnaround driveway with plenty of parking for several vehicles and trailers. An automatic backup generator offers peace of mind during your stay. ATV & Snowmobile Access: Bring your ATV, side-by-side, or snowmobile and leave the trailer parked during your stay. The large turnaround driveway provides ample parking for trucks, trailers, and recreational equipment. Guests can ride directly from the property to the local trail system. The ITS snowmobile trail network is approximately ½ mile from the house, offering access to hundreds of miles of groomed trails throughout Maine. ATV riders can also access nearby trail systems directly from the property, making this an ideal year-round basecamp for outdoor adventure. Guest access Guests have access to the entire property, except for the garage and basement, which are reserved for owner and property storage. Guests may enjoy: • Two covered decks—one with spectacular water views and another with a propane grill, picnic table, and plenty of seating. • A private waterfront area with a rock-and-sand beach. • A private outdoor fire pit. • Four kayaks: three Old Town Loon 106 kayaks and one Old Town Dirigo tandem kayak. • One three-person canoe: an Old Town Discovery 133. • Life preservers in the following sizes: • 2 Child XS, 30–50 lbs. • 2 Youth, 50–90 lbs. • 4 Adult M/L • 4 Adult L/XL Guests must use all watercraft, life preservers, the fire pit, and other outdoor amenities responsibly and at their own risk. Other things to note • Ring security cameras are installed for guest safety and to help protect the home when it is vacant. • Friendly pets are welcome. Please be aware that the yard is not securely fenced. There are no upfront pet fees; however, additional cleaning or repair charges may apply if needed. • Big Wood Pond is actively used by seaplanes for takeoffs and landings. For safety reasons, please obtain proper clearance from local officials before flying a drone.
