The Kestral in Lake George (Long term available!)

The Kestral #28 is a log cabin unit, one of a few different spaces located in a larger authentic building constructed in the 1940s. In the single bedroom, a beatiful queen cedar twig bed frame compliments the charm of the exposed log & beam walls and ceilings. Though rustic and original, the kitchen and bath offer new and modern amenities. There is a large living room and TV. While it is the first floor, the space and deck set one story above the rear of the building, offering partial privacy. The space The Kestral is a log cabin unit located in a larger authentic cabin building constructed in the 1940's and divided into separate residential spaces along the way. The Owl, also featured on Airbnb and our website, is located at the other end of the building. The space includes a spacious living room with a couch/hassock, a rollaway bed for a third guest if needed (most comfortable for a child), and a flat screen TV, powered by Roku. We offer Hulu, Disney and ESPN, along with the ability to use your streaming subscriptions. Internet is strong, as each cabin has its own wifi access point. Outside of the living room, which is more modern, the remainder of the cabin space features the rich and cozy atmosphere of the original exposed cathedral sytle log rafter and beam ceilings and log walls. We have a small galley style kitchen with a table for 2, small stove/oven, fridge, microwave, quick drip coffee maker and coffee packets provided, and basic cooking & dinnerware. Airbnb combines "cooking equipment" with "oil/spices etc" in their features section and this can be confusing so to clarify - we do not have offer seasoning or food items, so please plan to bring our purchase your own. The unique single private bedroom has a gorgeous queen sized cedar log "twig" bed, smooth Oxford cotton blend sheets, cathedral ceilings and a close space. The bathroom offers a 36" vanity, full size tub/shower and toilet. On the outside, a set of steps leads to small covered porch at the entrance way, set up above the driveway and grounds, with two Adirondack chairs. There is a charcoal grill located on the lawn below. At the pool area, we also offer an LP gas grill (summer/fall) and some picnic tables available to all. We have two group camp fire areas on site if you would like to enjoy the evening by the fire and toast some marshmallows! Please read on for more information about the ADK Lodge and amenities: The Adirondack Diamond Point Lodge is owned and operated by the Drake Family. Todd & Leigh and their 4 children take pride in their property and the business. We focus on cleanliness, amenities and a personalized experience for our Guests, whenever possible. We also operate a "sister" property one mile to the south, known as Cramer's Point Lake Breeze. We take pride in maintaining a place where multi-generational groups of families and friends carry on the time-honored tradition of spending time together enjoying the Adirondacks in cabins and Lodge style accommodations with plenty of space to enjoy indoor and outdoor activities on and off-site. We offer favorite past times for our Guests, such as bonfires, BBQ, picnic tables, Adirondack chairs, games, heated pool and much more. Guests have access to a common laundry facility, heated pool (in season), communal gas grill and stone fireplace, outdoor games including basketball hoop, shuffleboard, pool table, ping-pong, horseshoes, as well as the community room in season. Our pool area is reknowned in the Lake George area for its oversized stamp crete pool deck, seating area, large cabana and covered tiki style gathering place. We have16 total cabins available on a woodsy, relatively private 5 acre campus. Please feel free to look them over and choose the one that best fits your needs. Our cabins named Eagle's Nest, Moose, Otter, Snowshoe Hare, Cottontail , Porcupine, Whitetail, Owl, Chickadee, Nuthatch, Woodpecker, Wren, Cardinal, Jay, Kestral, and Kinglet are similar but each has some unique features and style that make them special. Please make note that the cost is much less for one week or more. *Ask us about long term rentals available during non-peak season, in this and other options at the Adirondack Diamond Point Lodge. Guest access Guests have access to all of the amenities as described, as seasonally available. There are no restrictions. Other things to note The home is centrally and air conditioned. The thermostat is not in the space. For supplemental heat there is a baseboard heater, and for supplemental cooling, there is a wall mounted a/c unit in the living room. Please let us knof if you need adjustments to achive comfort. We have a paid washer / dryer located in the game room, available from May to October (approximately). We provide all bed linens (high quality Oxford Eqyption cotton), comforters, blankets, pillows, hand and dish towels, liquid soap/shampoo/conditioner, hair dryer, toilet paper, etc. **PLEASE BRING EXTRA BEACH OR POOL TOWELS.** -Our pet policy: We allow up to one animal, under 50 lbs and at least one year in age. There is a pet fee applicable to your stay. While a guest with us, animals must not be left unattended in your accommodation unless crated, are not allowed on furniture or bedding, and any “business” must be cleaned up by pet parents. The department of Health regulations do not allow dogs at pools, waterfront or the game areas. Guests must select "Pet" when reserving.
