Description

If you are seeking a cozy, conveniently located place to stay in Ann Arbor, this is the place for you. Built in 1905 and remodeled in 2017, the house is charming and well cared for. Walking distance from restaurants, shops, the University of Michigan Campus, Medical Center, and The Big House Stadium, this house gives visitors a home-away-from-home experience. Amenities include: Parking, Wifi, kitchenette, porch, & coffee. This space is LGBTQ+ friendly. The space Built in 1920 and furnished with family heirlooms, this house has a quaint feel. The guest rooms and bathroom were remodeled in 2017, so while the house offers a vintage charm the space is well cared for and up-to-date. This bedroom was built as an addition to the original house. With big windows that offer a view of the downtown and skylights overhead, the room is well-lit and spacious. There are two double beds, a dresser set, a writing desk, a closet with hangers, three chairs, and a full length mirror. The bedroom has a lock on it, so you will feel safe leaving your belongings for the day. The bathroom has an old-style clawfoot tub as well as a sink and shower that were retiled in 2017. Just outside the bedroom is a small kitchenette with a mini-fridge, toaster, microwave, coffee maker, hot water heater, and a filtered water cooler. You will also find a number of other items to make your stay more comfortable and convenient: dishes and kitchen utensils, a fan, space heater, iron, hair dryer, first aid kit, soap, shampoo, extra blankets and towels, and Wifi. NOTE: There are two bedrooms upstairs with separate AirBnB listings (See 'Charming upstairs room in downtown historic home'). Both bedrooms use the same guest bathroom and kitchenette. When both rooms are occupied, guests will share the bathroom and kitchenette. When only one room is occupied, these spaces will be private. Most weekends, both rooms are booked. Please indicate if you need to book both rooms and I will accomodate based on availability, or if you have any other questions/concerns about sharing the kitchenette and bathroom. Thank you! Guest access Guests enter through the front door and have access to the upstairs bathroom, kitchenette, and bedroom. Additionally, guests are welcome to use the front porch, which faces West Park and is a particularly serene place to sit in the summer time. On-site parking is available. The key to the house is in a lock box on the front door. In the event that you need to check in at a time that I am not available to greet you, I will give you the code to the lock box so you can enter on your own. During your stay The entire second floor is devoted to guest use, and I live on the main floor of the house. I am a full time PhD student, so I am often working on campus or downstairs. I will do my best to greet you when you arrive, or give you simple instructions for how to enter on your own. I am most readily available by messaging through the AirBnB app, and am more than happy to do what I can throughout your stay to make your visit comfortable and enjoyable! I am happy to make recommendations for how to best enjoy the town according to your preferences. For a comprehensive list of suggestions for where to eat and what to do in town, check out my AirBnB guidebook. This space is LGBTQ+ friendly.
