The space Escape to Our Charming Off-Grid Cabin Retreat Welcome to our rustic yet cozy off-grid cabin, thoughtfully constructed using primarily recycled materials. This peaceful getaway offers a perfect balance of comfort and sustainability, providing an ideal escape from the everyday hustle and bustle. The main cabin features two cozy bedrooms—one with a queen bed, and the other with a queen bed (loft-style) and two single daybeds, plus a single trundle that can be raised to form a king-size bed. The open-plan living and dining space is warm and inviting, complete with a wood fire heating system to keep you snug throughout your stay. The fully equipped kitchen includes a gas stove, oven, solar-powered fridge, and a sink with hot water sourced from a rainwater tank. For an extra touch of relaxation, our sunlit bathhouse features a hand-held shower, a bath, and two single daybeds, which can also be converted into a king-size bed. The bathhouse provides a serene place to unwind. We also offer a separate composting toilet. The outdoor space is perfect for nature lovers, with a deck offering lounges and a dining table for outdoor meals. Two fire pits are available for starry nights, roasting marshmallows, and gathering around the warmth of the fire. For those who enjoy outdoor adventures, we also have an outdoor bucket shower surrounded by nature, offering a truly unique experience. Bedding Configuration: Main Cabin: Bedroom 1: 1 x Queen Bed Bedroom 2: 1 x Queen Bed (loft-style), 2 x Single Daybeds, 1 x Single Trundle (can be raised to create a king-size bed) Living Room: 2 x Lounges Separate Accommodation: A-Frame/Bedroom 3: 1 x Queen Bed, 4 x Single Beds Bathhouse/Bedroom 4: 2 x Single Daybeds (can be raised to form a king-size bed), Hand-held Shower Important Information: Bring Your Own Bedding: Please bring your own sheets, pillowcases, bath towels, and tea towels for your stay. Blankets and doonas are provided. Off-Grid Living: Our cabin runs entirely off-grid, relying on rainwater tanks and solar power for electricity. Please note that due to limited power, lighting may appear dim, and the lights typically last 3-4 hours when fully charged. We provide head torches but also recommend bringing torches for extra lighting. Eco-Friendly Request: As there is no additional cleaning fee, guests are required to clean the cabin before departure. In keeping with our eco-friendly ethos, we kindly ask that you take all your belongings, including rubbish, recycling, nappies, and sanitary items, with you when you leave. Firewood: The pre-cut firewood in the wood stacks is for the indoor wood heater only. Guests are required to bring or gather their own firewood for outdoor fire pits. Additional firewood is available at a charge of $40 per wheelbarrow. Enjoy a peaceful stay surrounded by nature, where sustainable living meets serenity. A 4WD car is recommended but not necessary. A 2WD or AWD car with a bit of clearance such as a RAV4 or X-trail will be fine as long as the weather has been dry. If there has been a lot of rain a 4WD is recommended. We can not be responsible for guests' vehicles. Outdoor fires are prohibited from October to May due to a total fire ban.
