Aubrey Acres: The Kookaburra

Nestled into the trees near the main house is our nearly off grid 8x10 cabin. This is a unique glamping experience on the gorgeous 25 acres of land that is Aubrey Acres. There is no running water in the cabin but guests have full access to our newly renovated bathrooms and lounge in our barn just 15 yards away. Included in your stay are complimentary breakfast items (eggs, bread, coffee, tea,homemade jam,bottled water) which can be cooked and enjoyed in our lounge. The space *House trained pets are welcome in the cabin but must remain on leash while around property* Aubrey Acres is an Australian owned, family run property in beautiful Northern Ontario. Guests can expect to enjoy the stunning landscape by day and the exceptional sky at night. This little cabin is a passion project of ours as small space living enthusiasts. With this being a small space guests should note there is currently no toilet or running water in the cabin but guests have full access to the newly renovated bathrooms in the barn just 15 yards from the cabin - 24 hours a day. Aubrey Acres is an operating event venue which means there may well be an event on during your stay, which guests are welcome to enquire about and may join if they please. During private events the cabin will not be available for booking. Guest access Guests have full access to the grounds to sit by the pond or perhaps take a stroll along our walking trails. Our barn features a lounge where guests will have access to cook breakfast, dine and relax. PLEASE NOTE: There are chickens and ducks on the property which typically remain within their fenced area but sometimes they manage to fly over the fence - if your dog is likely to chase the birds please keep your dog on leash. Other things to note This is a glamping experience - there are bugs, there are frogs, there is wildlife - if you come prepared you are sure to enjoy this oppertunity to unplug and unwind. There is no in-house toilet but guests have full access to our barn which has newly renovated bathrooms and a propane powered shower. In your cabin is a kettle for boiling water and an Aeropress for Coffee - tea bags and coffee are provided. There is no indoor cooking, though guests have access to the community barbecue behind the main house as well as our lounge in the barn which has a small fridge, a kettle and Keurig machine as well as an electric fry pan.
