The Bird's Nest - Cabin by the River

Located on one of the Seven Bends of the Shenandoah River, the Bird’s Nest is a brand new, custom built 800 square foot cabin featuring an open loft with king bed and skylights, steam shower, heated bathroom floor, and gas fireplace. Exterior amenities include a hot tub, gas grill, gas fire pit table, fire pit by the river, and private river access in a peaceful, wooded setting. Kayaks/tubes are available to use to float down the river with the unique ability to park/exit on the hosts’ property. The space The Bird's Nest has a modern farmhouse vibe with cozy rustic touches. The main floor is comprised of the living room, kitchen, dining nook, and bathroom. Stairs lead up to the loft which contains the king bed and closet. Guest access Guests are able to access the entire cabin. Other things to note Insects - the cabin is located in the woods and adjacent to the river. We provide insect repellant and citronella candles to help prevent insects from joining your party. WIFI - Due to the secluded location of the cabin, the WIFI speed is 10 mbps. We are assured by the internet provider that it is enough to stream tv / videos. Please keep this in mind if planning to work while staying. Cell Service - Cell service can be spotty at times depending on the carrier. We recommend turning on WIFI calling while staying at the cabin. River - The river level is completely dependent on the weather. In a drought, the water level may be too low to kayak/float or in the case of a flood, the water level may be too high to safely kayak/float.
