The space Our stylish downtown loft apartment is very roomy with over 550 square feet of living space, and is brightly lit with natural light from the wall of windows overlooking Washington Square. Enjoy a contemporary kitchen fully stocked with culinary equipment needed to prepare and serve your meals, as well as standard size stove/oven. You will also find a microwave, automatic drip coffee maker (filters, coffee, creamer, and sweeteners provided!), toaster, and tea kettle (a variety of bagged teas also supplied). There is plenty of seating on stools along the counter and and on chairs at the expandable dining table. A spacious couch/settee allows ample seating on which to relax while watching your favorite shows and movies on an HD Roku streaming TV. A king-size bed in a separate area and a second queen bed are both very comfortable and have quality linens and extra pillows to ensure a good night's sleep. Light blocking curtains can be drawn to darken the rooms for sleeping. The bathroom has a large, tiled shower and is supplied with essential toiletries, hairdryer, lighted wall-mounted make-up mirror, and an abundance of plush towels. Please note that the apartment only has a studio-sized water heater. It usually takes 20 minutes to reheat after using it. Convenient, in-unit stacked washer and dryer with detergent, located in a walk-in closet for your laundry needs. For purposes of sleeping for extra guest, the couch in the living room is not a pull out and only 1 person can fit. We can provide linens upon request. FREE PARKING in a nearby garage. Guest access The apartment is within walking distance to many restaurants, bars, and local attractions. Lansing is a very walkable city and easy to navigate with wide sidewalks and well-displayed signs and maps directing you to your destination. Parking is free on the city streets during weekends (after 6:00 pm Friday until 8:00 am Monday) and on weekdays after 6:00 pm until 8:00 am. Free Parking is also available in the Parking Garage at 201 South Grand Avenue one block east of Washington Square - use the parking card in the unit to enter and exit the garage. Lyft and Uber are available, and CATA (Capital Area Transit Authority) is the affordable city bus service. Other things to note The apartment is located on the second floor of a historic building with NO ELEVATORS. There is one flight of stairs leading from the building entrance to the apartment entrance on the 2nd floor. YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 25 YEARS OLD to reserve this apartment. IN ADDITION, the person who reserves the apartment must be present and staying in the apartment for the duration of the reservation. NOISE: Keep noise to a minimum after 10 PM on Sunday through Thursday and 11 PM on Friday and Saturday. No Smoking allowed in the building or on the property. Unfortunately, in the past people have used units for parties and have left excessive mess and damaged furniture - they were billed for the costs incurred. If you want to party - look for another property to rent. We have cameras monitoring the common areas of the property. No cameras inside the unit.
