Ovenden Lodge Guesthouse

OVENDEN LODGE offers dog-friendly accommodation, in a self-contained "granny flat" surrounded by open paddocks at the southern entrance to historic Gawler. With its ponies, birds and chickens, it is a quiet, private retreat for 1-2 adults, complete with cedar hot tub and sauna. Unfortunately, due to the ponds and animals on the property, Ovenden Lodge is NOT suited for children. Dogs and ponies are welcome by individual prior arrangement. The space Ovenden Lodge is in the outskirts of Gawler. There are several hotels, cafes and take-away food shops in nearby Gawler, Blakes Crossing and Munno Para - but these are about 10 minutes away by car. Guest access The property covers 0.9 hectares of bush garden, chicken run and paddocks with ponies. (Guests are welcome to pat the horses over the fence - and they love carrots. Entry INTO the paddocks is not allowed unless the horse owners give permission.) Other things to note The accommodation charge includes a continental breakfast. There is a full kitchen and all that you need to make an espresso coffee or a cup of tea.
