Appletree Cottage: spacious room & stunning views

Pause and be pampered! If you're following the Ridgeway, bring your dogs, horses or bikes (dog treats, stables, secure storage and collection service available.) No street lights, no noise, no need to do anything. Meet cats, dog, horses and hens. Put your feet up on the patio and we'll make you a cup of tea or pour you a glass of wine. Double or twin beds. plus an extra bed available for one small person. Second bedroom available for families/groups of 3-4 for an extra fee. EV charging too! The space The oldest part of Appletree Cottage was built in the 1800s. It's been extended and updated and is now a very quiet, peaceful and welcoming space to stay. We have plenty of parking in our drive, secure bike storage, stabling and grazing for two horses and beautiful views of fields and woodlands. There is also plenty of garden space, with comfortable seats. Eat your breakfast in the garden. Enjoy a drink on the patio as the sun goes down. Or relax in front of the wood burning stove. There are plenty of nice pubs around here and even a Michelin star restaurant. Ask us for a recommendation. Guest access You'll have your own bedroom - with a huge bed and a view of the garden and countryside beyond. You can make your own tea or coffee in your room and watch the sun rise. The bathroom is right next door to your room and is for your exclusive use. Take a soak in the big tub, perfect for unwinding after a long day exploring local towns or the Ridgeway. You can also use our kitchen, sitting room, extensive garden and swings! All perfect for relaxing and feeling truly looked after. If you need extra space, we have a second bedroom that is only available if you book both. That way you only have to share the bathroom with other people in your party. Ask us about price and availability. We also have a blow up mattress if you're travelling with one small person, that can be added to your room. During your stay Call me if you need anything or message me here. If you need directions ahead of your stay, just ask. We can collect walkers from the Ridgeway (if you don't want to walk an extra 2 miles from there to Appletree Cottage) and help with transport to the local pub and shop, which are a mile away. We'll be around if you need us. And if you don't, you'll find our home very peaceful and relaxing. Other things to note Dogs are welcome to sleep downstairs in our kitchen or utility room. If you're looking for more rooms or a more private space, we have Bramblefield Cottage right next door. It sleeps four people, in two rooms and has a private, enclosed garden.
