By The Bay Hideaway

Come here to relax in this little hideaway gem. Perched on the hillside overlooking Kachemak Bay in a quiet neighborhood, you can often view wildlife from your private deck. We welcome guest ages 12 and up. We are a non smoking property. No smoking allowed anywhere, inside or out. 2 night minimum. (Guests must be able to climb one flight of )stairs The space The building is a former woodworking shop, now converted into living space. The owners live upstairs in their own quarters. The 2 bedroom apartment where guests will stay was completed in 2023. Guests will have their own private entrance accessed by stairs and a deck. The deck has chairs, BBQ grill, and a propane fire pit to warm you on those cool days/nights. Our property is not landscaped or manicured. We left it in as much of a natural state as we could as it is a habitat for moose who give birth here every year. We are privileged to watch them bring their calves to graze and to drink from the springs just below the parking area. We hope you will enjoy watching them as much as we have through the years. Guest access Guests (aged 12 and above) will have complete and exclusive use of the apartment and deck, and will not have to share the space. Guests will have to climb one flight of stairs to access the apartment. Other things to note We are a non-smoking establishment. No smoking in the apartment or on the grounds. The apartment has a kitchenette, not a full kitchen. There is a microwave, refrigerator/freezer, electric skillet, and toaster in the kitchenette, and a grill on the deck.
