Stokes Hill Stables

Nestled in the East Herefordshire countryside with far reaching views of the beautiful Herefordshire and Worcestershire landscape. Situated close to the historic village of Stoke Lacy and within easy reach of Bromyard and Hereford. Super dog friendly . A welcome basket of locally produced snacks and apple juice is provided on your arrival and a continental breakfast is included during your stay . The space We have tastefully converted our stables to provide guests with a comfortable and relaxing stay. The Stables are situated on the edge of our land which affords guests privacy but I am available to help and assist in any way I can. The Stables have a relaxing and well equipped living room so that guests can put their feet up , watch TV , play board games or read a book. There is an ethanol stove to provide that extra coziness. There isn’t a kitchen in the stables but there are tea and coffee making facilities, a fridge with bottled water and milk, a toaster and a microwave .Crockery , cutlery and glasses are provided. There is a two burner gas BBQ for guests to enjoy some alfresco dining . The modern bathroom comprises of a large walk in shower , WC , sink and sauna. Towels are provided . The double bedroom has a double bed which has mattress , duvet and pillow protectors.There is a heated fur throw , and a TV. Outdoor furniture is available for those sunny days and guests are welcome to sit under the shade of the pergola if they wish. The barn building seen in the photos is not accommodation so you will have that area around the stables for your own private use. Your four legged friends are welcome to walk in our two paddocks . The Stables would be suited to two small dogs or one medium sized dog. Dog beds, bowls and towel are available if you require. There maybe a treat or two ! A breakfast basket comprising of a choice of pastries , cereal, bread ,butter , jam and orange or apple juice and milk is provided.Eggs can also be included if guests prefer. For guests wishing to stay to attend weddings at Bredenbury Court Barns an early check in can be discussed. Transportation to and from Bredenbury Court Barns can also be discussed. If you would like a make up artist to apply the glam before any event please message me and this can be arranged with advance notice . I will forward a link from the artists social media . I am unable to accept children in to the property . Guest access Guests are welcome to access our two paddocks and the area around the stables. Please note that we have begun digging a large pond in the paddock next to The Stables which will not be completed until Autumn/winter 25/26. *The pond is now lined and we are waiting for Mother Nature to fill it up . Planting of native trees will continue for some months ahead . Other things to note There can be traffic noise ( outside) from the A465 during the day. I would prefer guests to be informed. We began digging a large pond in the paddock which will not be completed until Autumn/ Winter 25/26 I can send photos if requested . * pond now lined and we are waiting for Mother Nature to fill it up .
