Chy Fawen - Tree House, Cats!
Description
Chy Fawen - Tree House in Cornish - a little gem of a house in mid Cornwall. *note - March-April 2026 only available as a four week booking You will love this upside-down home, floating in the canopy of stunning copper beech and horse chestnut trees. Relax in shady spots in the garden, or soak up the sun on the patio. Centrally located, easy access for attractions Eden and Heligan, Roseland beaches and pubs and cafes of Truro. Parking for two cars. Electric car charger by arrangement. The space From secure, off-road parking for two cars, steps lead down through the garden to the house. A porch, convenient for coats and shoes, takes you inside downstairs where there are two bright, sunny double bedrooms, one with en-suite shower room and an additional family bathroom. It is upstairs that Chy Fawen really shines, with a stunning open plan living area among the tree tops. To one side of the stairs, the well equipped kitchen has a new halogen hob, electric oven, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine, and a nespresso machine for coffee fans. On the other side, the living area has comfy sofas and chairs, and a large OLED smart TV, perfect for movie nights, snuggling by the woodburner on chilly evenings (some kindling and logs provided). Chy Fawen is our family home, with many objects precious to us including two resident cats which guests will be required to feed every day. They are quite self sufficient and come and go as they please, but will enjoy any attention you care to show them. Outside there is a decking area perfect for morning coffee or evening drinks. On hot days, the copper beech tree provides cool shade under which to relax. A garden gate leads down the lane and through an ope onto the main road, a few yards from the Dolphin Inn. This excellent local serves St Austell Brewery ale, decent pub grub and a warm welcome including a pub quiz every Tuesday. Available by separate arrangement: Tree House Studio - a sound proof music studio in the garden equipped with piano, keyboards, drum kit and amps for guitar and basses Electric car charge point If parking two cars, I suggest bring one inside the gates and park the other on the pavement outside the gates. Guest access Guests have sole use of the house (the small third bedroom will be closed off for storage of family items) Other things to note The house is home to adults and not set up for children. If you wish to bring a child or young person this will be need to be discussed on booking. Cleaning fee of £10 applied for short visits using two bedrooms. This may be waived for visits of 5-7 nights and where only one bedroom and bathroom is used. A basket of wood, kindling etc is available but if you light the fire frequently you will need to source more (sold on the village and local garages).
