Birchwood Lodge

Birchwood Lodge is tucked away within the peaceful pine forests of Inshriach, situated in the heart of the Cairngorm National Park. Just five miles from Aviemore this four bedroom lodge has everything you need for a restorative highland getaway. Birchwood Lodge is perfectly situated for exploring and enjoying the outdoors. From water sports in close by Loch Insh. To walking, hiking and biking on the nearby forest paths, that lead into the heart of the Cairngorm mountain range. The space Birchwood lodge is situated in the hamlet of Dalnavert set down a short farm track in a quiet spot surrounded by peaceful pine forest. Downstairs there is a spacious lounge with views over the garden and Monadhliath mountains. The lounge features an impressive log burner and a 50 inch smart TV with access to Sky, Netflix and other streaming platforms. Adjoining this is a smaller lounge area perfect for enjoying a peaceful morning coffee or some quiet reading. The kitchen dining space is open plan and features a fully equipped kitchen with induction hob, double oven, two undercounter fridges and a dishwasher. The dining table is fully extendable making it perfect for dining together and socialising. There is an adjoining utility room where you can find a freezer, washing machine/tumble dryer and microwave. Downstairs has cosy underfloor heating throughout and there is a porch and cloakroom for all your shoes, jackets and bag storage needs. Upstairs 1 x master bedroom with a king-sized bed and ensuite shower room. 1 x king-size double bedroom 1 x double bedroom 1 x small double bunk beds making it comfortable for both adults and children. Please note the top bunk is not suitable for children under 6. There are two full sized bathrooms with bath/showers. One upstairs and one downstairs. The rear garden has 2 sitting areas when you can relax and listen to the song birds. We have regular sightings of deer, red squirrels, woodpeckers and owls. Making Birchwood a great place to unwind and connect with nature. There is a small unenclosed pond in the rear garden please bear this in mind when booking with small children. Guest access Guest have access to the full house and garden. Guests also have access to a lockable storage shed to store bikes and sports equipment. The garage and adjoining upper level are private, along with one small storage room within the house. There is parking for 4 cars, 2 of which are in a covered carport. Other things to note Birchwood lodge is set back from the road down a farm track that can be tricky to negotiate during heavy snowfall. 4x4s will manage no problem but if there is any doubt please park near the forestry gates at the top of the hill.
