The Hideaway at Mystic Falls offers more than a place for Vampire Diaries fans to stay, it offers an unforgettable opportunity to immerse yourself in the TVD universe. From the oversized paintings that hung in the Salvatore and Lockwood mansions on the show, to the prop Mikaelson coffin we had reupholstered with red velvet and installed on the wall of our living room, when you stay at The Hideaway you feel less like a fan of the TVD universe and more like a character living in it. From our antique furnishings, intricate vintage details, and screen-used art and props, the ambiance at The Hideaway evokes the elegance that defined the Salvatore mansion. The main living area, with plush velvet chairs and an oversized sofa, invites you to relax, unwind, and binge watch Vampire Diaries episodes. Adjacent to the living room, you'll discover a small vintage two-seater bar, the perfect spot to indulge in a drink or two. Whether you choose to sip on a cocktail or a blood bag from our dedicated mini-fridge, that’s up to you. The centerpiece of the house--the kitchen--features the iconic painting that hung to the left of the fireplace of the Salvatore mansion. Our three bedrooms are themed by mood and color: The Red Room is as intense as it is luxurious, featuring an intricately hand-carved bed, personal vanity, and vintage photos, including one of a young Stefan. The Blue Room is cool and aloof, with a bedside candle to guide you, a charming picture of Damon circa 1864 to inspire you, and classic literature should you find yourself restless. At the foot of the bed you’ll gaze upon a painting that once hung on the walls of the Lockwood mansion. The Pink Room, with its ornate King-sized bed, personal vanity, and red velvet couch, is opulent enough to satisfy even Katherine's thirst for decadence. You can admire photographs of Katherine, Stefan, and Damon on the walls from the bygone era of 1864. Enjoy an evening around the fire pit in our backyard. In the morning, take a 3 minute drive or 15 minute walk down Floyd street, past Caroline and Elena's houses, into the square to gaze at the Clock Tower, get a coffee, shop at local boutiques, and enjoy a meal at the Mystic Grill.
