Bring family & friends to our lake retreat. Take a short walk or bicycle ride to our association beach or kayak launch where you will find kayaks, a canoe and paddle board or explore Columbia County NY and the beautiful Berkshires with an abundance of hiking trails, cultural venues/events, museums, quaint New England villages & skiing, etc. After a full day return to a family friendly home that includes 2 living rooms, chef’s kitchen, cozy wood stove, outdoor deck & a game room for the kids. The first floor has an open concept that makes it easy for your whole group to come together as one. We have also made sure to have some separate spaces that includes a cozy second living room with TV for a quieter experience and a game room which can be closed off for the more active members. The kitchen is designed to ensure great culinary experiences for those who like to cook. There is also a deck with a grill off the kitchen side for outdoor entertaining. The small yard on the deck side is great for game play such as croquet, corn hole, badminton or catch. There is a full bathroom on each level of the house. The house has a mini-split which provides heating and cooling. In extreme temperatures there are individual baseboard heaters in each bedroom and additional ACs in the two king bedrooms. The 3 remaining bedrooms are easily cooled by using the fans to draw the cool air in from the mini split unit in the center hallway. Guests have exclusive use of the main house. There is a shared garage space where the many toys are stored. Above the garage is a two bedroom apartment which is rented separately or can be included in your stay at a discount bringing the possibility of increasing your party to 14. The Queechy Lake Club ball fields, basketball court, beach and pavilion are also available. The well house, cellar and roof are restricted areas. Prior permission is required to use the wood stove. We are committed to making your stay as enjoyable as possible. You can connect with us for any questions or if you need a transport of kayaks/paddle board to the lake. This property is part of a small lake association with beach, ball fields, a pavilion and quiet dirt roads. The larger Canaan community is quiet and friendly. We are a short drive to many small to villages in the Berkshires and Columbia County with their many cultural venues and events (ie., Tanglewood, Jacob’s Pillow, Norman Rockwell Museum, Art Omi, and the list goes on), hiking and skiing trails, wineries, cideries, craft breweries and distilleries, restaurants and farm stores. Their is ample off street parking onsite. You will need a car to get to places other than our association beach and facilities. -Instructions manuals for appliance are located in a file box in the entryway closet. -Directions on lake access and a map of the association grounds along with the wifi password will be on the kitchen island. -Please don’t bring bath towels to the lake, there is a limited supply of beach towels in the house so bringing your own beach towels would be great.
